697 DPS as OT, didn't die once. I think some healers need to stop blaming their complications on STR tanks and accept their own limitations are the problem. That's fine, some people are just better at the game than others, it's normal in all aspects of life. I think it's just hard for people to have some humility and just admit "I'm not on that level."
I have made a thread about 3.0 tanks pulling dusk vigil like breayflox HM wearing nothing but STR accessories and the tank only had 1500 more hp than me the healer, and the majority of the replys let me know that regardless of the tanks hp and damage intake a healer should always be able to keep the tank alive, I stopped checking on it after page 2 or 3.

u mean with an ilvl around 185? or more thats like 15 ilvls higher then what ur supposed to have since the minimun is ilvl170 ur basicly overgeared thus allowing u to go full str as OT.697 DPS as OT, didn't die once. we are talking about undergeared tanks here btw![]()
Just this morning I tanked a1 in sword oath with zero issues at i172 with full slaying accessories. As long as you know the fight and when the tank busters are going to happen you can mitigate them like normal and no healer will have any issue healing you

Undergeared is undergeared, don't matter if it is VIT/STR accessories. Of course, I like everyone else, was at i170 when I began the grind for BIS stuff and did it all STR then too.

No point wasting posts on them anymore. There's always a counter argument for the pro-Full VIT, Tanks are meant to turtle, Rage combo lifestyle. Let them continue to live in their blissful, mediocre world.

I'm not sweating it. I have a static. I have zero need to play with the general population in DF. My static healers are a SCH and AST. Tanks are me on WAR and MT is DRK. We all have STR accessories. We never enter tanking stance. We clear everything in the game with no problem. So people can make whatever argument they want, the fact is, we do it, we do it with job combos and situations they claim is impossible to do with, we do it in gear and stances that they claim is impossible to do it with. That right there tells you everything, they aren't the best players, and they need an outlet to complain about rather than figuring out how they can get better.
Statics rule of thumb:
1. Learn mechanics.
2. Clear content.
3. Push limits to the very edge to clear content faster for farm.
This should be how everyone works.

Since you said yourself you have no need to play with the general populace. You play exclusively with a static its real easy to have everyone on the same page, and gearing isn't really an issue. PUGing it is a whole different animal. Trying to get everyone on the same page is well.....to quote someone else "I've seen monkey s#$t fights at the zoo that were more organized than this"
We did that already after we had it on farm long before echo.we are not talking about raids here , also i would like to see your group doing t13 with 2 undergeared str tanks at ilvl125(without echo ofc)
edit (obviously your dps and healer should be ilvl125 to else it would be unfair :P best with 2 warriors pls )
2 edit without tank buff ofc i mean u loose dps :P and only with lvl50 food lvl60 ones not allowed :P
