    I want melee healer so badly. If its Red Mage or DNC I don't mind - I just want it lol.

    I can see how Drain Samba could be broken, it lasts 15 seconds and melee can use their usual physical attacks about every 2.5 seconds, so that would be 5-6 hits, which would be 25-30% of their HP healed. What if I increased Drain Samba's cooldown to 120 or 180 seconds and/or changed it to healing 3% per hit?
    As for the stances, I think Trance is the only stance needed. While being able to DPS was a selling point of the job, I didn't want them to outshine the actual DPS jobs or for people to get so caught up on DPSing that they would forget to heal.

    I had originally thought of making it a short-range AoE healer but thought it wouldn't be practical for healing ranged characters or healing when the party had to split up to take care of adds or other mechanics.

    Update
    - Increased Drain Samba's recast time to 120 seconds and it heals 3% of the targets HP per normal hit, 5% per critical hit.
    - Magical Masque now heals only 4% of the targets HP per hit.
    - Witch Hunt no longer has a Flourish cost.

    I just want my Dance Dance Revolution kind of gameplay for such a class, make them "immortal" for as long as there is one team member alive and show them you moves ^^.

    I used to tank, heal and DPS, usually all at once on my FFXI DNC

    Delve was fun on DNC, Drain 2 samba up, crazy dbl/triple attack gear plus PDT/MDT to swap between. Self healing tank, and kept party alive. who needed a tank and a healer :P sub /WAR.

    Melee healer would be awesome. It is also not likely to ever happen, as they've stated that they don't ever factor healer DPS into encounter balance, and having one healer out of four that is built to DPS would throw that balance all out of whack.

    As a DPS I can see it working out assuming the healing is not 100% reliable, let it be an assistance to the healers but to completely replace one I don't see that being a good idea. Able to raise I can stand behind cus summoners get that option as well though.

    this is someting right up my ally a dps with some half decent heals ( or the other way around ) sounds very nice
