I chose BRD for swift gameplay, if I wanted to cast I would have chosen a Mage.

I ask the dev team, why give us this song? You know what makes more sense? a stacking buff that became stronger the longer the BRD stood still. Not changing my abilities to cast bars, if I wanted cast bars I would have rolled a mage.

You have taken a Job that I absolutely loved and ruined it.

I thought I would have a hard time with the changes but in the end I love it. I would give it some more time.
If you think about it lore-wise an archer should have to sit still and knock back the arrow and steady it (cast time) to achieve more power...not that it matters but I really like it.

This kind of reaction is unwarranted. The mobility and quick rotation was a real perk for some Bards and the main reason they were drawn to the class. I don't main Bard but I was leveling the class for Heavensward until Minuet was announced.

I'm sure some hardcore raiding Bards will be delighted with Minuet but I was put off by it. Bard was a breath of fresh air when I didn't want to be an immobile cannon.

What's "fine" or not is a subjective opinion in this case.
The OP (and various other people, including the bard in my current static) chose to play Bard initially because of a certain playstyle - one that has now been forcibly changed with the expansion.

While it's possible to put out decent numbers with the new skills, many people aren't happy about the playstyle change.

This would be fine if the new skills weren't locked behind it.

Not to incite anything here, but I doubt your suggestion would have changed the gripe here. You'd still have to stand totally still to do your max damage, and that'd still be "taking away the freedom to move".

As MCH I find myself not moving around, only moving out of AOE and etcetera but I am concentrating on my DPS too much to worry about moving around for no reason. Plus I love my Gauss Barrel so much damage!
