    Dance Job Idea

    This is redesign of my Performer => Dancer/Idol idea, as a single job. I'm making a new thread because I didn't want to necro-thread that thread. :B

    Dancer (DNC)
    HoT and Utility Healer
    Weapon: Fans x2
    Attack Type: Slash Close Range
    Armor: Robes, Light Armor, Rogue/Ninja Armor
    Limit Break: Healer
    Limit Break 3: Dance of Rapture
    Cross Class: Conjurer and Arcanist
    Important Stats: Mind for Healing, Dexterity for DPS, TP for skill cost

    Preforms who cleanse both the mind and body of their allies and captivate their enemies with graceful movements.

    Mechanics and Skills

    Flourish Stacks
    During their routines, Dancers can acquire Flourish Stacks to preform special moves. Dancers can receive Flourishes when they heal, completing weapon combos, land critical hits/heals, and/or using limit breaks. When a Dancer lands a critical hit/heal, they gain 1 Flourish, and when they use a Limit Break, they gain 1 Flourish for every bar they use. When starting out, Dancers can only have up to 5 Flourishes stacked.

    Healing Skills
    - Curing Waltz: Heals a target's HP. Has a 25% chance of gaining a Flourish. Healing Potency of 200. 1 second cast time. 3.5 second recast.
    - Rejuvenating Waltz: Heals a target's HP. Has a 30% chance of gaining a Flourish. Healing potency of 315. 1 second cast time. 3.5 second recast.
    - Divine Waltz: Heals all party members with in 10 yalms of the user. Has a 10% chance per healed party member to gain a Flourish. Healing Potency of 145. 1 second cast time. 3.5 second recast.
    - Captivating Waltz: Can only be used under Trance. Continuously Heals the HP of all party members with in 5 yalms of the user. Drains the user's TP and lowers their Physical Attack Power and the healing potency of other healing skills by 20%. While this effect is activated, the user is stuck in Trace. Use a second time to turn off. Healing Potency of 50. Instant cast time. 5 second recast.
    - Last Waltz: Can only be used under Trance. Uses 2 Flourishes. Heals all party members' HP by 10%. Instant cast time. 5 second recast.
    - Carnival Cancan: Places a Regen-like effect on a selected target. Has a 25% chance of gaining a Flourish. Healing Potency of 75. Instant cast time. 2.5 second recast.
    - Carnival Flamenco: Can only be used under Trance. Places a Regen-like effect on all party members with in 15 yalms of the user for 20 seconds. Has a 5% chance per party member effected to gain a Flourish. Potency of 25. 2 second cast time. 3.5 second recast.
    - Resplendence: Can only be used under Trance. Uses 6 Flourishes. Damages a selected target, then places a Regen-like effect on all party members within 5 yalms of the target, healing HP equal to 50% of the damage spread through out 21 seconds. Potency of 50. 3.5 second cast time. 120 second recast.
    - Drain Samba: Can only be used under Trance. Uses 2 Flourishes. Places a "Drain Samba" debuff on a target for 15 seconds. Whenever a party member physically attacks or uses a physical skill on a foe with the Drain Samba debuff, they will recover 3% of their HP per normal hit and 5% per critical hit. When the Drain Samba wears off, the target will not be able to receive another Drain Samba effect for 50 seconds. Effect cannot be stacked with other Drain Samba or Jitterbug Duet. Instant cast time. 120 second recast.
    - Jitterbug Duet: Can only be used under Trance. Uses 2 Flourishes. Places a "Jitterbug Duet" debuff on a selected target for 15 seconds. Every 3 seconds, the inflicted target will send out a pulse that will heal 2% of every party member within 5 yalms' HP. Effect cannot be stacked with other Jitterbug Duet or Drain Samba. Instant cast time. 100 second recast.
    - Magical Masque: Can only be used under Trance. Uses 2 Flourishes. Restores 4% of the HP of all party members with in 10 yalms of the user every time they take damage for 30 seconds (this does not include damage done by DoTs, debuffs, skill effect/cost, or ground effects). This effect cannot be stacked with other Magical Masque. Instant cast time. 120 second recast.
    - Angel's Waltz: Revives a fallen target in a weakened state (Note: can be used in-combat by default, without the need for a trait.). Has a 50% chance of gaining a Flourish. 5 second cast time. 5.5 second recast.
    - Healing Waltz: Removes a single detrimental effect from a targeted ally. Has a 15% chance of gaining a Flourish. Instant cast time. 4 second recast.

    Weapon Skills
    - Blade Dance: Damages a single foe. Potency of 130. Instant cast time. 2.5 second recast.
    - Mincing Minuet: Damages a single foe. Potency of 100. Instant cast time. 2.5 second recast.
    Combo: Blade Dance => Mincing Minuet : Potency of 190. Gain 1 Flourish.
    - Pyrrhic Kleos: Damages a single foe. Potency of 100. Instant cast time. 2.5 second recast.
    Combo: Mincing Minuet => Pyrrhic Kleos: Potency of 290. Gain 2 Flourishes.
    - Witch Hunt: Damages a single foe. Potency of 100. Instant cast time. 2.5 second recast.
    Combo: Mincing Minuet => Witch Hunt: Potency of 250. Places a "Witch Hunt" debuff on the target for 20 seconds. When a party member hits a target with Witch Hunt, they gain a 15% increase to their Critical Rate for 5 seconds (this buff does NOT stack). Effect cannot be stacked.
    - Dance Macabre: Damages a selected target. Can only be used when the target is at 30% HP or less. Gain 1 Flourish if this finishes the target off. Potency of 180. Instant cast time. 25 second recast.
    - Love Tap: Places a DoT on a target for 18 seconds. Potency of 40. Instant cast time. 2.5 second recast.
    - Sonic Fan: Damages a selected target and places a DoT on them for 21 seconds. Potency of 25. Instant cast time. 2.5 second recast.

    Other Skills
    - Dance of Veils: Can only be used under Trance. Uses 1 Flourish. Places a barrier on all party members with in 10 yalms of the user that will absorb the next cleansable-debuff placed on them. Instant cast time. 30 second recast.
    - Heathen Frolic: Uses 2 Flourishes. Decreases Damage of all foes within 5 yalms of the user by 5% for 15 seconds. This debuff cannot stack with other Heathen Frolic. Instant cast time. 30 second recast.
    - Chocobo Jig: Uses 3 Flourishes. Increases the attack Speed of all party members with in 10 yalms of the caster by 10% for 30 seconds. This buff cannot be stacked with other Chocobo Jig. Instant cast time. 60 second recast.
    - Trance: A stance. Swaps current DEX and Mind, while doubling the potency of healing skills (minus Drain Samba and Magical Masque) and and reducing Attack Power by 20%. Effect ends upon reuse. Instant cast time. 5 second recast.
    - Grand Pas: Increases the user's MND by 15% for 15 seconds. This is not effected by Trance. Instant cast time. 60 second recast.
    - Presto: Grants the user the maximum amount of Flourishes Stacks. Instant cast time. 120 second recast.
    - Reverse Jive: Uses all the user's Flourishes. Restores 50 of the user's TP per Flourishes used. The user cannot gain Flourishes for 30 seconds. Instant cast time. 120 second recast.

    Traits
    8. Enhanced Dexterity : Increases Dexterity by 2.
    14. Enhanced Divine Waltz: Grantz a 20% chance that Divine Waltz will cost half the amount of TP.
    16. Enhanced Dexterity II: Increases Dexterity by 4.
    20. Maim and Mend: Increases base action damage and healing done by 10%.
    24. Enhanced Dexterity III: Increases Dexterity by 6.
    28. Climatic Flourish: Allow the stacking of 7 Flourishes.
    32. Enhanced Curing Waltz: Grants a 15% chance that after casting Curing Waltz, the TP cost of your next Rejuvenating Waltz will be 0. Buff Duration: 15 seconds.
    36. Cross-Step: Whenever two healing skills are used in succession, increase the second skill's chance of gaining a Flourish by 10%. This does not include skills that use Flourishes.
    40. Maim and Mend II: Increases base action damage and healing done by 30%.
    44. Enhanced Heathen Frolic: Heathen Frolic now decreases enemy Damage by 10%.
    48. Grandiose Flourish: Increases the amount of Flourish stacks the user can have to 10.

    Drain Samba sounds OP tbh. Not sure about making some DPS skills require flourishes, proc or combo be better imo. maybe different "stances" waltz stance for healing, reduced DPS, buffed healing. Samba DPS stance, reduced healing increased DPS.

    Also Dancers raise should be:

    Lap Dance: Raises a fallen member :P

    Oooooh this is nice. It sounds like a Melee heal (In other words, like XI's DNC)
    But I have always wondered about how a DNC can be a ranged healer/attacker ^^

    For me I prefer a more dps based DNC instead of a healer type. So though this sounds good I'd rather it not be like this. I want my dps DNC back.
