The Shield Oath additional effect of where when you are attacked you heal for 25% of damage suffered is not overpowered as Dark Knight has a 100% heal for damage dealt through soul eater (260 potency or 400 potency with Dark Arts).
My Dark Knight can heal itself nicely yet the paladin can't as casting spells when being attacked has a risk of failing. This additional effect would help the paladin be an even more defensive tank. Increasing the attack speed is good as it allows for my attacks to be unleashed over time.
