Consumable Alcohol for players?

Just to add some fun to the game or when you're messing around with dungeons with friends. Not like the game shys away from the consumption of alcohol anyway (and some animals ingame even partake...)

Could function similiar to alcohol consumption in WoW; blurs vision, fish-eyed, swurved movement/flying and misreading enemy levels.

Would be fun yes!
My main character doesn't drink, but my alt is a heavy drinker, she spends a lot of time in the forgotten knight flirting with the locals to get free alcohol. Would be fun if she could get drunk for realz!

The moogle should have died of a alcohol poisoning in the gridania cutsene then. I think lalas will be ok.

thank you for addressing the elephant in the room. i've been in bars around eorzea, killed 8 primals multiple times (21 if you include -redacted-), bested ultima weapon, and i still can't get a sodding drink.

why can't my character enjoy a semi-simple pleasure with long-term consequences that i will never (seeing as how i have permanently banned myself from drinking outside of religious practices) enjoy?

A part of me want them to introduce the Pirate Drinking Contest mini-game into FF14.

It was one of the funnest mini-games in Guild Wars 2 and I do hope other MMOs would introduce fun minigames like that.

Heck we have Pirates in this game but no Pirate Drinking Contest? Blasphemy!

There is alcohol in the game under the name Frozen Sprites but it doesn't have any of the above listed effects.
