I'm a new player to the game and honestly, I had no intention of playing HW until the story sent me there. I'm thrilled that old patches on this game are relevant. For instance on WoW, if you want to experience the blood elf island or the panda island while levelling a new class/player, there's literally no point. Same with old bosses, noone runs them. It was dead content the minute the next expansion came out. I'm really glad I can still fight Ifrit and Titan and Shiva. Sure, I probably won't spend forever on them or do their hard modes, but the game still lets me see the content so I'm happy about this.
