As a sports-junkie i often visit ESPN.com to see all the latest news etc. They have a fun little feature on their website that is a poll of the day. They even break down the results by state.

I think something like this would be a cool fun feature for this website.

You could keep it so each player can vote once per poll. You can change it once a day or week. It would be an easy way to get a quick pulse on the community. Searching through threads is fine, but it may take time to pick out the really good threads/ideas and pass along the feedback to devs.

Would be even funner to break down the results of each poll by server or by country. Could be a fun like aplet if done correctly.

Also the polls don't all have to be feedback polls. They can be fun polls as well.

A few example questions:

What job would you most like to see in game?

What is the most powerful spell in the game?

What feature of the battle system do you most enjoy?

What feature would you most like to see implemented?

etc. etc. etc. then give a few possible answers so on and so forth.
