I was a PVP freak last year, always in the top 10 on my former server. I got to rank 40. I got many of the cool rank 40 sets. However, I got so sick and tired of sitting in queue for 45-60 minutes each match, as I was formerly on Primal center in Maelstrom, that I quit PVP all together.

Signed. I never understood the restriction and how limited it was. It would make PvP more popular if people didn't have to jump through hoops to play with friends/queue faster.

Signed, I don't PvP myself, but if I ever feel the urge to try, it usually doesn't last more than 3 minutes. No way I can get into those things in 3 minutes!

Ya know, everytime it suits peoples argument, lore is thrown around.

But now that it doesn't, it's suddenly "garbage". I'm conflicted about this. Make up your minds, people.

People don't like this particular piece of lore because it doesn't fit with the rest of the lore that had been established around the subject of the Grand Companies. It appears to have been created specifically to justify a particular (and mostly unpopular) mechanic.

Everything we knew about the Grand Companies prior to Frontlines indicated that they've been on very friendly terms since they reestablished during the previous Umbral Era. We know their leaders are all on friendly terms. We've seen examples of members of various Grand Companies, and the Grand Companies themselves, working together to further their goal.

But SE wanted to tie Frontlines to GCs, so they went "Er... yeah... it's different in this one place because... um... reasons...?"
