Bismark and Ravana Extreme: No solo queue?

So, my free company and I were wondering exactly WHY we can queue into the new raid, Alexander, solo DF while the Extreme Primals require a prebuilt team to do so. Is there a particular reason for this? And are there plans to change this in the future? If anybody has any info or articles they can point me toward, that would be great.

Top-tier content, traditionally, is locked behind requiring a full party for about a half patch cycle minimum before it's added to Duty Finder, to give people time to learn content.

That said, it is kind of surprising and a bit strange, even if Alexander's current iteration isn't its hard mode. I suspect you'll see Bismarck/Ravana added to DF in 3.05 in a couple weeks.

There's a bit of a paradigm shift between the Japanese and English servers/communities when it comes to DF. We tend to think of DF as where you go to learn, and PF is for clearing/farming. But they view PF as the learning tool, and DF as the clearing/farming. So it kind of makes sense that they want you to use PF to learn the complex fights before you queue solo in DF...

Designed for pugs? In what universe are pugs competent enough to deal with Burden of the Father?

I completed it in three wipes with a random group of people I scraped together via PF. Burden is not mechanically intensive in the same way that something like Ravana Ex is. It mostly rests on the shoulders of the healers (and a small amount on the DPS to eat orbs during Quarantine).

EX Primals have always been that way. They will be released for solo queue in the DF a patch or two after they are released.

IMO ravana ex is alot harder and has way more mechanics and phases than any turn of the new raid. the only turn which is slighty similar in difficulty wise is t4. thats it. so for now rav ex is the hardest content. hence why gated. df killing ravana would only work on like 1 out of 50 trys maybe if you get lucky with very good players or all full exp players. the fight is not hard actually but it has alot of phases.

because you can be item level 170 and people still fail the dps check on bismarck pretty miserably

you aren't clearing that content with a group full of dps who do less dps than tanks and execute mechanics even worse than they dps
