    Any good, updated WAR guides?

Howdy all, after recently giving DRG another shot and getting the hang of it, I found the DRG guide thread to be really, really helpful as while I'd had the job at 50 but didn't remember squat about playing it.

Are there any other text guides out there for WAR? I'd like to give it another go again. If I have to I'll look at a video but I typically find text guides much, much more helpful in most cases because I can read them far faster, more quickly absorb the information and reabsorb it, and use it as a reference for openers, stat allocations, etc.

    Thanks!

Says it'll be ready in about a week. Should be interesting to see his take on the 3.0 Warrior.

Well at least before any guides come out (and sadly seems like it'll be more video guides... lovely), I've got a couple questions.

What's recommended for bonus stats at 60, full vit, full str, or a mix? What's a good, noob-friendly opener as the MT? What's a good, noob-friendly opener as the OT? Why is the sky blue? What foods/pots should I use? Finally please interpret all the above questions going on the idea that if I'm tanking, I won't trust my healers at all and probably won't know them (figuring it'll be vit accessories for me at least). I've picked up DD'ing and healing with the mindset to start with what's safe and easiest, then slowly added in strategy to try and be great at my role.

    Q. What's recommended for bonus stats at 60, full vit, full str, or a mix?

This is purely a choice based on how comfortable you are in your role. Most will recommend all your points into STR and then gear your accessories to STR or VIT depending on how much health you feel is necessary for the encounter you're doing. Some prefer the comfort of more VIT, some don't feel it's necessary. As a fledgling WAR, I'd recommend all your attributes into STR and your accessories as VIT. The more comfortable you get, the more you can shed that VIT and get more STR.

    Q. What's a good, noob-friendly opener as the MT?
This is the opener I would recommend:

    Infuriate -> Tomahawk/Overpower* -> Unchained -> HS -> Maim -> IR + Berserk -> Storm's Eye -> HS -> SS -> BB -> [Fracture] -> IB -> HS -> Maim -> SE

    * = Tomahawk is used if you need to move the mob from it's initial position. Overpower is used if you don't. Overpower generates more threat, so it's good to make this distinction when pulling.
[] = If you don't have 450+ Skill Speed, drop Fracture as you won't be able to get your last hit in.

You can also replace SE combo with BB combo and vice versa depending on how comfortable you are starting with a non-enmity combo.

    Q. What's a good, noob-friendly opener as the OT?

Easiest to pull off. Unfortunately, when you will do this varies from fight to fight. Bismarck EX, Ravana EX, and Alexander F2 are all fights where this opener isn't optimal, you just need to judge for yourself what you should be using in place of this. Other than those, I'd recommend this opener.

    Q. Why is the sky blue?
A clear cloudless day-time sky is blue because molecules in the air scatter blue light from the sun more than they scatter red light. When we look towards the sun at sunset, we see red and orange colors because the blue light has been scattered out and away from the line of sight.

    Q. What foods/pots should I use?
Any food that gives you a lot of Crit/Det. You can also use Skill Speed food to fix your 9 hit Berserk problem if you don't have enough already. For pots, you should use HQ X-Potion of Strength - if you can afford it, Draconian Potion of Strength is better.

As a main War from the launch of 2.0. With all current endgame content on farm, as well as all of fcob on farm pre-echo. I can confidently tell you to use all allotable attribute points from leveling into str. For progression in Anything, go full, or 4/5 accessories vit.

As soon as youre overgeared and comfortable with content, you can use more str accessories (i NEVER use more than 2 str accessories for any pf/df group.)

Use full str for fates and main story quests.

You can easily go 3/5 str accessories for any dungeon up to Stone Vigil at lvl44.

Hope you love War as much as i do. Its a very fun class.

Plus, who doesnt like running around with a huge badass battleaxe?
