Do I have to do anything to make Selene work?

Selene shouldn't Be on Sic.

She will auto cast embrace even on Obey (Same as Eos)

The cooldowns that she does have should be used when needed.

Silent Dusk When you are able to while DPSing and can pick what you want to silence.

Fey Caress when you need an AOE cleanse. This is the number one reason she should not be on Sic. You do not want her blowing this on a single cleanse on fights that do AOE debuffs.

Then there's Fae Wind This could arguably be left for Sic, but on fights where DPS is forsed to move in a manner that prevents them from hitting the boss, you don't want her popping this since the buff is wasted and better left until all the DPS is back to fighting.

Don't ever use Sic for any pet class or you should not be playing a pet class.

Summoner pets will wipe raids if you don't micro them, and scholar faeries waste cooldowns and are as ineffective as possible. You could get away with have Selene on auto before HW released, but now you have to manually control her, since 100% buff uptime is no longer possible and due to the fact that she blows her esuna even on debuffs that can't be purged....

And don't even consider Eos on auto. Just no. Please no.

If you know the fight you know whether it makes a difference. For instance - A2. There's basically 0 difference between selene on sic vs. obey. The debuffs aren't dispellable and there's basically 100% dps uptime.

Once again, healing in general is a very situational gameplay - we don't have rotations or anything like that. Pretending like one answer is always the best is disingenuous.
