This isn't RNG, this is madness

Last night, I was farming Ravana EX with my static in an attempt to farm weapons for those who haven't gotten them before next Tuesday for Alexander Savage. Out of 6 runs, AST weapon dropped a whopping 4 times in a row.

Now, I am glad that they have added tokens for clears so people will never have to suffer again like I did with Shiva EX (43 runs before I saw a SCH book), but come on. That drop spread was as horrible as AST shuffling their decks, only to draw thr same card continuously.

Aha. Shuffle is a new feature where the devs sympathize with us to make it less RNG for us normal folks!

5 is a small sample size. Having it drop 4/5 times is not statistically significant.

Now if you had run like 30 times and 20+ were the same drop, then you'd have a good reason to question RNG, but 4/5 isn't bad

I have been questioning RNG ever since I broke 3 crit materia in a row with a 94% chance of success on my relic. And considering there 12 possible weapons that drops now, not including the PLD shield... I dunno...

When I've seen Ravava shield drop, it has been in addition to a weapon. So it's still 1/12 for any given weapon.

We had PLD weapon drop 4-5 times in 10 clears.

Just go in with the attitude to farm 10 tokens. If it drops before, that's a bonus.

RNG is RNG. Be glad those trial chests have only thirteen options as opposed to...whatever the drop rate is in dungeons.

I spent the last 3 days in the Aery trying to get the chest piece. Got every other gear piece and geared two alt jobs from greed rolls before I finally got it. XD

When Heavensward first dropped, I leveled from 51 to 55 off of Dusk Vigil alone trying to get the chest drop.
