They were asked this during the last live letter, they said they'd look into it if I recall correctly! I'll edit this later with a link or quote to the post. On my phone at the mo so it's awkward. I agree I'd love this feature, was so pleased when they removed battle themes from dungeons.

When I'm doing gathering, seriously I do not want any of that battle music nor the FATE music. They are irritating. They destroy that peaceful, serene, almost sacred gathering trance.

Its PRETTY LOUD every time I enter a fate zone that "BABOOM-BADABOOOM!" jingle >-< So I avoid them.
Also the Boss-Fate music more annoying D;

I am not saying that Chocobro music is bad, but I have been listening to it for 2 years and now, when I am casually strolling trough Heavensward locations with nice sad music and then unleash the Chocobro, it is like Yoshi diving from heavens only to slap me.

Yeah I know they only said they are looking into it, just thought I'd share that they have been asked the question at an event so they know we want it at least. Threads like this are still great, especially if they get a bunch of likes as it draws their attention to a feature the players would love more. I wasn't posting the link to bash the thread as pointless or anything. Just trying to be helpful lol.

Yea please give a toggle.
Personally i dislike it the most in dungeons.
You are doing a dungeon with a group, killing trash when the dungeon music plays and then once you are at the boss, the generic combat music happens again for the 5th million time.
