About "area-creating actions"

so on the SCH action Sacred Soil and the WHM action Asylum they both say, "Cannot be used with any other area-creating actions."

me and another player was able to determine that both actions can indeed be used together. both of which are area-creating actions. both effects were in-place and in-effect. i benefited from both, the damage reduction & healing.

anyhow, can someone help me understand exactly what the tool-tip is trying to tell us?

Well, I'd need to check to see if I am remembering it correctly, but typically you can't use such abilities with your own alternate area creating abilities. Not sure about the other classes, but for example, you can't sacred soil and Shadowflare.

ah ha! i didn't think about that. i just tried it on SCH, and that is what happens. you can't use Sacred Soil and Shadow Flare together. two Sacred Soils also don't seem to stack. they can both be deployed, but the player will only be under the effects of one at any given point in time.

i hope that maybe they will change this text to something a bit less confusing. simply stating "Cannot be used with any other area-creating actions." seems a bit vague.

The description was placed for PvPers as there is Sacred Prism which is similar to Asylum; however, applies a physical damage reduction buff and other sorts of nifty things. Essentially, you can't stack the PvP Skill Sacred Prism & Asylum together once level 60 PvP comes out.
