I don't know who said the current stuff is bland? I love medieval, added with a twist of fantasy and its great. A steam punk city on another continent - with appropriate clothes would be nice. I think there should just be different fashions for different regions. and maybe companies can help do this. If its ever going to become over the top garbage save it for a later date. theres plenty more you can do with the current fashion

    Huh, go figure.
Those weapons look just as bad for the most part. The Turkey oh I mean Verethragna is the worst.

Look for the recently implemented armor models to see something even worse. The XI team really dropped the ball.

If all the armors and weapons had similar designs from the beginning the game would be absolutely hideous and a mishmash that doesn't fit anywhere.

I like that idea, going to another continent where they discover a race of people never encountered before that have slightly more advanced technology.

Could certainly open up the art and design in the game whilst still keeping it sat snuggly in with the lore.

Plus it was hinted at at one point that they were considering adding new races to the game. That would be an excellent way to do it.

I never understood the desire for realistic looking weapons and armors in a fantasy setting. I mean, you're shooting balls of fire and electricity out of your hands and performing necromancy on a daily basis. Meanwhile, a huge fire lord is threatening to take over the land. Not like that realistic looking weapon is going to do anything when you hit a dragon in the ankle with it. Don't get me wrong, I don't want spikes sticking out of ever piece of armor and everything to be glowing, but I don't really enjoy looking at some wizard in shabby robes with a gnarled branch for a staff either.

I wish I could say I know what art style I prefer, but I honestly don't care so long as the setting and gameplay are immersive and fun.

So you never understood the desire for realistic looking weapons but you essentially share the same sentiments.

People have different preferences when it comes to setting, and you draw a line somewhere just like all of us do.

Either way it's the inconsistency that is the problem, not preferences. Nobody wants inconsistency, it's only detaching.

I guess it depends on your personal tastes, but a lot of the new armor weren't that bad, it was just the Curor sets that were horrid.

It wouldn't bother me either way if I were having fun.

I don't mean those armors, and they are still fairly consistent. Just that some of them are plain ugly.

Those weapons however are too big. Especially the sword.

If you think those are ugly take a loot at warcrafts tier 9 sets. (y'see what I did there? )

They all came in a wonderfull assortment of colours including brown, brown, brown, brown, brown and brown.
