Depends on the sense.. people who don't like things tend to post more. If I don't like something I'm going to let SE know because this forum is for feed back.

But on the flip sense people who do like it, or who do enjoy the game will not post as much or make as many threads. This is due to the fact that they like was SE has done and don't need to post to complain about anything.

Therefore forums will always have more negative threads than positives.

Same premises as in RL people are more likely to call Customer Service to complain about a company, than to compliment them.

I post a lot (well... yeah, we all know that) but I've not once complained about anything in the game *apart* from the annoying foot-fall noise in the market wards, which is easily bypassed by turning the sound off.

Hey remember when Yoshi said you can play the game the way you want just do that then. Don't fucking use them if you don't like them, that's all it is to it.

As an big fan of monster hunter i love the style and i feel that's where the inspiration came from and i am sure the jp loves this cause monster hunter is a huge game there .

That doesn't mean there will be a thread for everything. For example, if the weapons weren't so oversized I am pretty sure people would still find them cool, but there would be no negative backlash as there is currently. People would like them, some more, some less, but it would only come down to personal preferences. Such is not the case here.

^ That is what I want to say, but I know better. You clearly surf these forums quite a lot, and also do not play the game nearly as much. Therefore I think my reaction can be adequately summed up as this.

You are 100% correct, there will NOT be a thread for everything. People who tend to not have an issue or are happy with what is going on are less likely to post or say something. But if someone posts or says something that goes against their opinion they are more likely to comment and express their like for it. Why, because by human nature people are more likely to complain that compliment. When someone is happy with something and someone challenges it, they feel a need to defend it.

It's the same as if someone had posted a thread in support of the weapons. If I went and posted a thread saying how much I liked the Ifrit weapons you don't think people won't post disagreeing with my statement?


And yes that is the case here and now... as you see this person made a thread explaining why they didn't like it. As you see a lot of people are posting on here saying they IN FACT like them. Even on that big thread they were talking about another person also pointed out that even on that other thread of complains people were positing saying they liked the weapons.

It is MY personal preference that I like the weapons.

Does that mean I am right and the OP is wrong, or vice verse. No, it means that we just have differing opinions... no ones opinion in this is right or wrong, it is all about personal preference. The OP isn't wrong, I just don't agree with their opinion and there is nothing wrong with that.

If you look though this forum every negative thread with have people disagreeing, and every positive thread will have people disagreeing. Welcome to a thing called an opinion.


Also I have to disagree... even if the weapons were less bulky people would STILL complain because you're missing one key factor. People aren't just complaining about the SIZE but also the DESIGN and the GLOWING effect.

Take away the bulk and you still have design and glow for people to complain about. I mean seriously, SE GIVES people 200 extra inventory... whats wrong with that?? And people STILL complained. I'm sorry but you're arguments aren't logical and seem very narrow in view.

What i liked from those new weapons is that they look that you made them from ifrit, that shows a lot of what crafting and killing mobs are in this game, you can take a beast an make a weapon with it, yes the bow looks alittle bit over the top but i like it, i would prefer to have mats than full made gear, i dont like everything silver plate handed, besides maybe you could get an ifrit sword +3 if crafted, think about it , I agree getting full made gear if you take the weapon of the boss you killed like a garlean commander.

EDIT: and about what firon said is true there are a lot of weapons and gear that dont look any close to reality and were great, how badass would a DRK look if it had a great sword like that?
