Eaxctly... plus the weapons are already fully made for the game and being added tuesday, a petition at this point won't make em not add them :P LoL
As for the size, what do you expect? these weapons are forged from Ifrit!!! Expect EVEN BIGGER weapons from the future Titan fight LoL!!! Gotta wait till Garuda if you want more elegant smaller ones^^ Fits the primals :P

~Rationality falls quite short for those living in their own world~

Immersion, Hardcore, AND NOW Realistic are terrible words. Thanks FF community!

thing that will be lil lame if they are best pieces for all classes. Then everyone will be carrying those bizarre looking things around. In my opinion they are a little too bulky and don't really fit, at least not yet.

Gidonoidon_Sur
This is what I am afraid of. If everyone starts using them because their stats are do good they replace all other endgame weapons. The image of the game will then change.
Betelgeuzah is correct too. Final Fantasy is a more realistic MMO, this is why I chose to play FFXI over WoW because FFXI has a more realistic and impactful look to it where as Aion and WoW look like they are for much younger people with short attention spans.
personally i would think they would have different styles. Mostly because these weapons are built around the horns of ifrit, and the heat and power that ifrit represents. I would think a shiva weapon would be a lot more sleek. Titan might look similar though.Sighs. Look. We dont even know how difficult the encounter is yet for these weapons. Theirs apparently an R30 version, and a R50 version of Ifrit. The R50 version dubbed "Hard mode" *god I wish they didnt call it that* drops these weapons. For all we know R50 Ifrit may be 5x harder then getting a 25 min clear in Dark Hold. Something almost all shells on my server still cannot even do yet due to the severe lack of qualified GLD or MRD tank to be able to do it. Even with one its difficult depending on what kinda people you got in the group.
So unless Ifrit R50 is so easy that people simply have to watch videos of him being done, your not gonna see everyone running around with these Glowworm weapons. Hell one of the new weapon recipes coming out, +2 or even +1 with Grade 4 materia placed in it may be better then the ifrit weapon for all we know. Thats one of the things keeping a few people I know from playing, they dont like the fact that the best equipment may now come from crafting instead of whole dropped from endgame/raids.
Just let the design be. Yea it looks a bit out of place but what you expect, its weapons Ifrit created that came from another realm of existence. Ill expect other Primal God equipment to have the similar art to it as more Gods comes out.

As I said in the other thread
I don't see why people are freaking out. I mean, look at the stuff in the Artifacts gear picture. None of that stuff looks way over the top and chances are that gear will be the best of the best when it comes out..
OBVIOUSLY, FLASHY is NOT the direction they are going to go for all high level gear. It's possible that this is just the artistic direction for gear that is to be made from the physical bodies of the Primals (it emulates physical aspects of them) we are to combat, and everyone is going ape **** because they think EVERYTHING will be like that from here on out
Come on, let's not freak out about everything please. Thanks.

I'm against the idea of a petition. I like the designs in a way. They do look out of place in Eorzea's current setting yet aren't the Primals in a way meant to be from like another world or dimension or something? It only makes sense that the loot should look unique. Seriously, it's not really that bad compared to some of the equipment I've seen in other games. I find it odd people want to complain about these, yet don't want to complain how the bikini swimwear doesn't seem like something that should belong in Eorzea. Not that I don't like them mind you, but compared to other equipment it doesn't really feel like these should exist or should probably not expose so much skin as they do.
But anyway, I believe the loot rewards for the Ifrit battle are just fine. Now if every piece of gear starts glowing or having some mystical effects like magic rainbows following you as you move, then I think there could be cause to complain. Until then, suck it up and just enjoy that they're giving us some more unique equipment than slight recoloring and added little doodads onto them.
