We've all been playing a year, and honestly I do like FFXIV' bronze age naturalist approach to colors. But really, i'm tired of everyone either being brown, black, or period blood red. The spice is nice. And who knows, maybe some day we will get the chance to obtain armors that are similar to the Garleans, which will then in fact look really cool with the ifrit weapons.

You idiots are whining about something that has not been implemented yet. You are complaining about a subtle glow much like that of the Lantern Shield.

You are throwing up in arms over one new weapon. Writing a petition even. OVER A WEAPON.
You people need to seriously give up this whining. Guess what, you are less than 1/8th of the player-base. Square-Enix is a multi-million dollar blue chip who does not care what you think about their hard work, you don't even pay to play. Even if this game tanked, S.E would make another game and you would buy it. Probably complain about it too.

If you are one of these people, FOR SHAME. Seriously, take a week off and come back later on. If you want this game to be good you need to understand you people cannot be a part of its development.

Why do we need the weapon implemented when the complaints are about the design (which we CAN SEE very clearly already)?

These forums exist for complaints. It is their primary purpose. For us to complain and SE to act on those complaints when they deem it necessary. Not some self-entitled forum police.

With no complaints, the forums would lose their purpose. Useless bandwidth that doesn't help anyone.

Actually, I'd just like to point out that the Feedback & Suggestions forum is for feedback about the site, not the game. Says so right there in the sticky that no one ever reads. >_>

Anyway, as to the weapons: I like them overall, though I do think that the PGL weapon is a little disproportionate. To everyone saying that the bow should be sleek because ARC is all about being fast and lithe and such, I challenge you to watch the animation for Bloodletter and tell me that it's not about getting every ounce of pull you can out of your bow. >_>

To be honest, their forum structure as a whole is pretty bad. But yes, that's what the forum is for. Centralised means of generating and collecting feedback for developers use when developing the game. Some people "bitch", some people "criticise", but it can all be used when improving the game either way.

You know what's annoying? Some people acting as a forum police (some with just 20 posts under their belt!) trying to repress the complaints because they are annoyed about it.

Face the facts: The developers try their best but they are not perfect and will make mistakes. If nobody is pointing those mistakes out for them they can not improve their product.

The only thing hurting this community are the people trying to shut the criticism down and accepting the status quo that could be improved so much.

It's especially annoying when these people act like any new information should be regarded as the God's doing that absolutely must not be criticised in any way. Some things they do are for the better, some are not, and we need to point out the things that are not for the better. They will then make the final call. Not you or me.

But Betelgeuzah why I see your point and I can agree with 98% of it, you also can't try to shut people down with their comments. It's all a matter of your POV of their post(s) and their POV of your posts(s). It's all opinion. Some have a better way of expressing themselves via words and others just rage but the pendulum swings both ways. That's the only reason why I disagree with the other 2% of your post. But that's my pov/opinion and my right to do so. While I can't police the forums you can't either.
