    Origin dialogue choice?

    So our character is always being asked by NPCs "Why did you become a Adventurer?", "Do you believe in Eorzea?", "Who do you fight for?" and etc.

    However, never once did any NPC ask us where is the WoL from.

    Do you think SE should add a Dialogue question from a NPC that ask the WoL where is he or she from in a future MSQ?

    I would like to see this at some point in the MSQ. NPCs always ask us the other questions to get to know the WoL's background but they never actually ask the questions about our background history before we started becoming Adventurers. It feels like they're trying to know the WoL but just doesn't want to know who is the WoL.

    One dialogue choice being Raced based while the other are default choices, and "..." dialogue option being the keep origin a secret option could be the set choice.

    It would be interesting if this dialogue choice affects some small amount of dialogue in MSQ with certain side characters we may meet but that is just wishful thinking.

    I wonder what choices they would give us for this... Strictly Game-lore speaking, none of our characters originated from the continent of Eorzea, so the choices would have to be areas from one or more of the other continents.

    I suppose, though, that the question could be worded in a way to allow for one to choose one of the three nations as well.

    I don't think it's a good idea considering that the design for the WoL lore is the basic "we don't tell anything so the player can imagine whatever he wants"

    Seriously though an origin question would probably just have us state our cities. I've met some rare NPCs who know what city-state you started in and react accordingly.

    Our home might not exactly be outside of Eorzea. I went with the idea that Kall's backstory was from somewhere in the black shroud before coming to Gridania for the first time. Kall was on foot(1.0 intro) so she might not have been far from where she grew up.

    As for the rest, well, that's a long and likely abridged story.

    As for 2.0 intros: The merchant doesn't seem like one that gets out of Eorzea, so it could still be up in the air.

    Doesn't the opening video state that we are fresh adventurers who arrived in Eorzea, meaning we're not from here?

    Well the New Adventurer Intro feels more like a Bus scene/Train scene. The Hero/Heroine has just arrivied to this new place, Erozea for FF14, and to get to his or her destination the Hero/Heroine takes a transport to that location. While traveling on that transport he or she meets a person that would ask him or her who he or she is thus setting the stage for the intro.

    Maybe I've been going through Persona series too much but that is how the 2.0 intro is to me.
