My Concerns/Ideas for the Pet Glamour System

I wonder what abilities shifts the new egi would have. For example, Ramuh-egi, being suited for caster (Summon I), would probably have:

Wind Blade ---> Shock Strike
Shockwave ---> Chaotic Strike
Aerial Slash ---> Thunderstorm
Contagion ---> Increased Sentence
Aerial Blast ---> Judgment Bolt

Imo it would make more sense if it was:
Topaz Carby + Shiva paired with Titan as tank
Ruby Carby + Leviathan paired with Ifrit as melee
Emerald Carby + Ramuh paired with Garuda as caster

I think hoping for more than this at this point is setting yourself up for disappointment, and personally the above would be plenty for me. I'd rather them save other big primals - odin/phoenix/alex etc. as unique mechanics/abilities of some future expansion, in the vein of what they did with Bahamut. I could see an Odin based zantetsuken ability as a dot that starts off with very low damage but has a big finisher upon expiration.

I agree with what you say for Elder Primals and the more elusive Primals, however I think it is pretty obvious Bismarck and Ravana will be added as Egi. Although with that being said, even if Egi Glamours for Elder Primal such as Odin was released that does not mean SMN could not get any future abilities based on that Primal.

Maybe to bismarck (tank?) and ravana (melee), I could see them coming after the initial set, maybe with a third HW primal and placing one each in the melee/caster/tank roles. For me personally having the classic 6 elementals is what I want most.

That's true. My personal preference would be to get egis glamours that fit into the lore though. Being able to use bahamuts spirit to cast deathflare feels much more powerful than having a chibi bahamut following behind you.

I was just thinking tank in terms of "carapace shell" but yeah it could go either way. It might even be easy for them to make it a caster if the other two are ramuh/garuda - have plenty of weather effects already designed haha.

Any idea on when this will happen? also, will they be reskinned spells, or a new menu option? if they're all individual spells, can we get a summon roullette? i want a caster roullette etc

Personally I don't care about having new Egis, I just want the glamour system out and functional.

They won't even confirm it for 3.1 ... It makes me very sad.

Well the glamour system are how these new Egi are being implemented, so they are one and the same. I would love some new info on it also, alas I think it is safe to say we won't see it until around 3.3 at least, especially if they are added in bulk. But I don't mind waiting longer for them, at least they are coming.

Yeah the "King" is a possibility, of course Alexander is another potential candidate and would suit the Tank role well.
