A question on HP

I don't know if this was asked before anywhere I did some searching and couldn't find anything about it.

Ok so.. here we go.

My base HP is 10543.
When I mount my Chocobo it drops to 10222.
When standing outside of the Thok ast Thok trial it was 9700 ish.

does anyone know the reason behind this? im using the same class buffs , same food etc.. but HP still changes and just find it kinda odd.

so I removed all buffs and food "Grit and Darkside" and sent away my chocobo, now I have 9863 Hp.

I re-summon my chocobo and have 10189 Hp.

I re-mount the chocobo and have 9863 HP.

So with that I assume that passive chocobo abilities have some effect.
but still doesn't answer why HP changes while in different areas..

9863 is your base HP

If you are in a party (having a chocobo ready to fight counts as being in a party) tanks give everyone in the party a +3% VIT buff (or something close to that, due to rounding and whatnot)...
Making your HP 10189, which would be the same HP you have in dungeons/trails/raids (assuming there is at least one tank lol)

If you are alone in the party with your chocobo and decide to mount it, the VIT bonus is gone while mounted, since that is not considered a party, so you are back to your base HP, 9863.


If you have a MNK or DRG in your party, everyone gets +3% STR
PLD/DRK/WAR give +3% VIT
BRD/NIN/MCH give +3% DEX
SMN/BLM give +3% INT
WHM gives +3% MND
SCH/AST give +3% PIE

you can check this on the top of the party list, the 3% buffs that are up are shown up there
