    [Game Version 1.19] Silly Newbie Question: Cross-Class Abilities?

    As a silly newbie, I have a question about other classes and which ones my wife should level in order to improve her Gladiator in a duo and/or team environment (her duo partner (my character) is primarily a Conjurer).

    In your opinions, which other classes should I also be leveling in order to improve her experience with her Gladiator? What are the desirable abilities from the other classes and what level do those classes get them? (I'd appreciate being told why these other classes and abilities are useful as well.)





    (Other advice, suggestions and/or pointers to working and updated reference sites would be appreciated as well.)

    I apologize that I can't speak for you as I don't have much experience with the magic classes, but for her I definitely recommend Pugilist and Marauder.

    Marauder has excellent tanking abilities such as Defender, and a good low cost DD skill in Skull Sunder. Pugilist has several great tanking abilities as well, such as Taunt and Accomplice. Featherfoot gives you a high chance of avoiding a single attack and restores MP now as well. In addition, Jarring Strike/Haymaker now work well with Gladiators as a way of keeping enmity and doing a lot more damage than they're capable of alone, as enemies miss a lot more often now and both counter skills can be used by any DoW.

    And even though this isn't geared toward your particular team, Pugilist also has Second Wind which I personally consider a vital skill for any melee class. Marauder also has Bloodbath, which isn't as good as Second Wind for a Gladiator but still can save you in a pinch.

    Hi Sun Runner.

    Since you picked Conjurer on the magic side, Thaumaturge abilities should help you improve the gladiator's effectiveness. Early spells such as Slow will help her take less damage and for you, less MP. Spells such as Bio will reduce the enemy's attack. Absorb Attack against a the enemy party goes a little further, then there's Absorb Defense. With the Initiation spell, you can transfer the absorbed attack and defense to her. And Sipgon MP will help keep your MP up in case you need to Cure.

    There's an Archer trait some ways in that reduces the enmity you generate.

    Level 20 Thaumaturge should get the above abilities (Slow at 6 I believe, bio at 12?, absorbs at 16, initiation at 20 I think). And Archer 30 for the enmity reduction.
