Thread: Extreme Lag - Not Localized to Me

I've been playing on Hyperion all day with no lag. Suddenly, my receiving connection starts spiking between 0 and 4000, then disconnect. For the last hour, the game has been unplayable as the connection extremely lags continually. After speaking to my FC it's not just my connection, mostly everyone was experiencing unplayable lag.

I am having the same issues but for the past week or so now. I know it is not my connection. I ran ping tests and it never went above 1ms even when i ran it during a d/c in game. I have no idea what it can be other than the game or some outside issue with my ISP provider but everything from my computer to router is 100% ok.

It is a constant R0 S0 bouncing back and forth and i have never experienced it before. So fustrating ><

Same here the rubberbanding/lag spikes are annoying as hell. Plus every1s fav 9002 errors.

Balmung here. I usually am okay outside of the new dungeons... But this week has been impossible to do almost anything. A minute for NPC dialog to come up is kinda insane.

At this rate I can't do dungeons because I'm a healer, so I can't gear up for Alexander. I know it's not my network either, as even with 50 down, and really great ping I'm getting lag spikes. To the point that my received drops to 0. Any sort of workaround would be fantastic.

Me and my fiance are having bad lag too. Again, as I keep saying on these forums, I cast to test my lag. And it is delayed a lot. I can't even check on my FC's chocobos without taking at least 1-2 minutes. And my internet connection is great. So is my PC. I have been getting this for a long time now. I really...REALLY wish a dev would reply here with SOME sort of information on if this is going to be fixed or not. We all complain about how bad this game is with lag, and where are officials? Lol It is like, we complaining to pass time. ; ; This is how I feel anyways (sorry devs!). The lag, the loading issues needs to be resolved.

well, same issue here. since yesterday game became unbearable i can barely craft without accidents, not to mention playing main content. what i noticed though is tht connection pretty much stabilized for me after 11+ pm ST (didn't noticed the exact time, but should be like that). today though it became worse, i struggle to even log in and even if i do, only fc chat seem to be working for me, other things i can't do at all

If you want more direct interaction with SE you may want to try the official support portal. Read the sticky welcoming you to this forum...this is intended to be a user-to-user forum. To that end, there have been countless posts in dozens of on-going threads detailing ways to either remedy the lag/stability or to better narrow down potential sources of the problem and report it to the proper people to get it addressed. In most cases it has been shown to be an issue along the path to the server that is out of SE's sphere of more direct influence--but well within the capability of our ISP to address or for us to address ourselves.
