I stole an idea from someone in my FC. "/Facetarget" helps alot when being a caster dps, and I add to all of my abilities. It lets you continue facing a moving target without interrupting your casting. Give it a try. :P

This only faces it once right? So a target strafing past you would require repeated presses.
I've seen that my character is continually rotating when the boss is strafing, but that's probably because being a blm I decided to add the line to any of my abilities that use a casting bar. The only time my cast is inturepped is when the enemy does a sharp turn or jump behind you.
Why not macro it? It doesn't impact your dps in anyway I can see. Plus it helps alot on controller.
You can change what your control stick button presses are mapped to. So instead of having R3 be first-person view, I changed it in the options menu to face the target. Casting a spell automatically makes me face a target in the first place, so I just press R3 if the target begins to move past me.
Thats amazing! I'll have to try it out...oh wait I'm forced to mt now that our tank left QQ
On PC, I have F mapped to facetarget so if I need to face the target during a cast I just hold F. I'd rather not add another icon to my already cluttered hotbar just for something I can do with a keybind.
