Why Didn't the Ascian... (POSSIBLE SPOILERS)

This may be a spoiler, so alerting. As for Elidibus us needing us for something but then calls on the WOD, remember what the Arche Bishop saw in us before he came to an end. He saw us as a WOD, though he did not know or understand what that was. He just saw us as dark. The person who stood before him on the moon, was the very same WOL that was in the 2.0 trailer. I believe he was a stand in for all adventurers (WOL). I believe that we are the wod or one side of us that we haven't become aware of yet.

A full party required dungeon, that is actually two light parties that see the other as the WOD's crew, and must face them as a dungeon boss , winner goes on to WoD, loser goes on to a different boss?

As far as Elidibus, i think he sees a use in the main character, but we aren't exactly a tool he can control. Either that or his role among the ascians is different. Zodiark's defensive team?

Its speculation, but i do think there may be something amiss with us.
