    i90 Wandering Minstrel Ultima orb-eating LB3.. I do miss it ; ;

    I hoped they would do more fights like Cloud of Darkness - where the LB bar refills almost automatically from phase to phase, but then add mechanics making Healer and/or Tank LB necessary to survive that phase transition.

    I got to use the Warrior LB3 the other day, towards the end of an A1 wipe. Definitely a cooler animation than the old tank LB3. I'm assuming it still has the same effect, though.

    I believe it filled really fast because of the meteors. It went up by a big chunk whenever someone ate one.

    Ifrit Ex had the same deal.. It didn't really matter where you LB bar sat before the final nail phase. Each nail killed adds to the LB bar, by the time all nails except the big one are killed - any group WILL have a full 3 bar LB available. Mechanics like that and the WoD meteors (or was killing Puffs too?) that are designed to provide full 3bar LBs at precise moments are a welcome addition. Disappointed that we're not really seeing that in NM ALEX.

    Yea, I get the idea they don't want to design fights with the Limit Break in mind like that with a few exceptions. It's just usually an extra thing, but the Tank LB has to be required or it won't be used.

    I think they should do more with the added LB mechanic. Just seeing the LB bar fill up is cool, and you could use it to force a Tank LB at least sometimes.
    I think have the LB auto fill and make it integrated into the fight would be much better.

    It takes really long to fill up. I get the build-up is part of the design but having it as part of the fight design is still more dramatic.
    And there would be more freedom to include the Tank LB if had more auto-fill mechanics.

    That might just make the Healer LB ignored if you use it by design instead being able to save it as a safety net.
    But that's why there should be a mix.

    And though we're saying DPS is mostly used, it's Melee LB like 90% of the time. Not integrating the LB into the fights really makes it lack diversity.
