New player looking for english players

Hello. I just started playing about 3 weeks ago. I really like this game. However, when I made my guy, I made it on this server since it was labeled "legacy" thinking it was an older server and had lots of people on it. Well, I didn't realize it was a Japanese server and I have yet to meet anyone who speaks english. I have been going solo and using duty finder but it sucks being lonely and not having a social aspect to the game. I have barely talked to someone who helped me with materia but she couldn't speak fluently. Am I doomed to using auto translate forever? Lol. I'm a casual player and I want to meet friends no matter where they are from. I don't wanna remake my guy or transfer. Anyone out there?

Hey Unebeast. I started playing two weeks ago and chose Gaia because it resonated the most with my FF knowledge. I am currently also in Ridill and am not quite willing to pay for world transfer. Would you like to join up? I am currently playing from Brunei (GMT+08.00, just like Singapore).

EDIT: just realized that there is a big discrepancy between post dates even on the same forum page -_- please just ignore this in the event that you see it. Haha
