Now that people have done Thordan EX I got to know, do we get to punch his face in?

Zephirin wasn't even that bad of a guy. He was - in his own way - doing what he thought was best for his people. He was an antagonist rather than an outright villain and mutilating his corpse would have achieved nothing of note.
Haurchefant is incredibly overrated in my opinion and I feel as though a lot of his fans simply let themselves be whipped into a frenzy. Yes, it was sad that he died - but it would be incredibly unrealistic to completely change the leadership of an entire nation without someone perishing on our side of the battle.
Making it be a minor NPC would be silly, too - since that would just be a cheap cop out.
For Zephirin, while I have yet gone into Thordan EX cause I'm lazy as all get out, I think he only attacks and we never get to hit him.
Theodric: Be glad that there is no open world PvP![]()
There should be a picture of Haurchefaunt underneath it, encased in a heart.
If you hit him with a dart, your game instantly crashes. Upon reloading, the game just says "You really enjoy hurting people, don't you?"
Much like Aymeric I didn't even dislike Haurchefant at first. Yet the rabid fans that make them out to be the sexiest and best characters ever to exist have just made me cringe to the point where I find them both very tedious. I already had some reservations about neither of them really 'feeling' like they were Ishgardians. If they push the Lucia/Aymeric thing into a real romance then it'll be even worse - especially in a setting and society where interracial relationships are meant to be frowned upon. I like my elves gritty and efficient - and Estinien fit the bill perfectly in that regard. So did Zephirin, for that matter.
I don't really see fans feeling strongly about an NPC as a bad thing, rather it just shows that it's good writing. Personally i don't find him overrated, he's just one of the few NPC's that got under many people's skin, and we saw our characters show more emotion around him than the others. Which probably added to the immersion. I don't disagree with the fact that his death was necessary, or else we'd be running around Coerthas in one neverending winning spree. lol
I just wanna know if we get to punch Zephirin in the face, you know, actually hit him this time. Antagonist/tempered/misunderstood or not, I like his character as much as the next guy, but man do i wanna jab him one in the jaw!
Eh thats understandable. I like Haruchefant a lot, yes, though I don't think he was the "best eva". But SE did well in makin me care for him, and like I said all those months ago...I had a lot to say about Zephirin and the rest of the Round when that happened. That said if you are going to have characters trying to change and make a society progress forward, naturally they aren't going to be have the exact same values as what one would think a normal Ishgardian would have.Much like Aymeric I didn't even dislike Haurchefant at first. Also Estinien is also a favorite character of mine for the 3.0 series!
Eh, not necessarily - Thordan's comments whenhe slashes Lahabrea with Ascalon suggest the complete opposite, that Thordan consumed Lahabrea's soul as aether to sustain himself, much like Leviathan did to that transcended sahagin elder back in Through the Maelstrom - he even commented that an Ascian's soul is just aether:
Of course after Lahabrea's demise, you see his aether coalasce around the Eye within Ascalon's hilt, so I don't know, he indeed might have been absorbed into Nidhogg and not consumed as a tasty aetheric snack by Thordan, but I hope that is not the case, as I'm tired of Lahabrea and his inane scheming and really do hope this is finally the end of the bastard.Originally Posted by Heavensward Main Scenario Quest 'Heavensward'

Lahabrea: "What?!"
(Thordan slashes Lahabrea with one stroke and destroys him)
Lahabrea: "Aaaaaaargggh!!!!"
(Lahabrea dissipates into his dark aether and coalesces around the Eye within the blade's hilt before disappearing, not the usual votex style warp out effect when Ascians teleport away, but instead he just... fades away)
Thordan: "Gods feed upon aether. It matters not what form that aether takes. Ascian souls are no exception. With this power, I shall put an end to a thousand years of conflict."
Thordan: "Be they sown by Ascian, dragon or Primal, wheresoever the seeds of chaos threaten to quicken, I shall excise them with my divine blade and bring order to the world."
I have a couple of daggers with Zephirin's name on it.
And a spear.
And an axe.
And a greatsword.
And a bullet.
Hell, let me incinerate him with ancient magic for good measure.
I want a solo trial with that guy.
