Eh, the Heavens Ward weren't outright villains. They were, if anything, morally grey. I didn't take any pleasure in ending their lives and actually sympathised with their motives to some extent. I've always been a fan of gritty elves though - and the Heavens Ward catered to that in spades.

I would like to take that "morally grey" Zephirin, rip his still beating heart out of his chest and hold it in front of his face. So he can see how black it is before he dies.

I certainly preferred the Heavensward - including Zephirin - to the borefest known as Hydaelyn or most of the Scions. I'd work with those guys.

Honestly I preferred pretty much all of the Ishgard cast to the Scions, and I definitely like the Heaven's Ward and Dravinians Horde to the Ascians.

I liked Zephirin, and considering that most primals work on the whole prayer thing, and they were literally the Holy See of Ishgard, we'll be seeing them around again for sure.

Personally I thought it was a cracking good shot with that spear.

While I wasn't exactly hoping for as...visceral a demise. I would've at least like to have a one-on-one against him before the final fight.

For Zephirin, while I have yet gone into Thordan EX cause I'm lazy as all get out, I think he only attacks and we never get to hit him.

Much like Aymeric I didn't even dislike Haurchefant at first. Yet the rabid fans that make them out to be the sexiest and best characters ever to exist have just made me cringe to the point where I find them both very tedious. I already had some reservations about neither of them really 'feeling' like they were Ishgardians. If they push the Lucia/Aymeric thing into a real romance then it'll be even worse - especially in a setting and society where interracial relationships are meant to be frowned upon. I like my elves gritty and efficient - and Estinien fit the bill perfectly in that regard. So did Zephirin, for that matter.

Eh thats understandable. I like Haruchefant a lot, yes, though I don't think he was the "best eva". But SE did well in makin me care for him, and like I said all those months ago...I had a lot to say about Zephirin and the rest of the Round when that happened. That said if you are going to have characters trying to change and make a society progress forward, naturally they aren't going to be have the exact same values as what one would think a normal Ishgardian would have.

Also Estinien is also a favorite character of mine for the 3.0 series!
