Tell you what... Let's do the following:

    • Allow players to buy "Legacy" status via the Cash Shop.
    • Allow players to purchase the Goobbue mount from the Cash Shop.
    • Allow players to purchase the Legacy Chocobo mount from the Cash Shop.
    • Allow players to purchase the Mark of the Twelve (Legacy Tattoo) from the Cash Shop.

And while we're at it, for an additional fee, you can also upgrade your account so you get the same discounted fee as players who continued to support the game got! That's right, even you, the guy who decided the game was utter crap and came back later, can look and have all the perks of the other guy standing in the corner there who kept on paying and supported the game!

Look, back in version 1 they allowed players a short time of free access before the servers shut down to get your own goobbue mount from the Wandering Minstrel. If you had an account in good standing you could have logged in during that brief period of time and got the mount for yourself. People got this, the Legacy tattoo, the status, the bird, and the discount all for supporting the game when SE needed the funding to revive a game that was deemed by most as an utter failure. Now I get some people couldn't afford it, maybe they had real life problems, something else hindered them from supporting the game like they wanted to. Unfortunately it's too late to get those rewards, the incentives to keep paying for a game that may have ultimately tanked if A Realm Reborn was a failure as well.

The cash shop is a good way to support the game and get old items that were exclusive to players of the original game before the reboot. Things like the Moonlet, clothes, helmets, things like that. But putting in items like mounts that were given to players as a thank you for showing support when the developers needed us the most is the wrong way to go about doing it.
