Is the Lightning event going to be coming back?

Any word on whether this event will be a yearly thing, I'm looking to re-acquire some of the gear from it that I seem to have misplaced. Also my character was female when I originally completed it.

On a serious note: it's highly doubtful and I think most people believe the same. My guess would be the items will end up in the Cash Shop before the event makes ANOTHER return...

im pretty sure the next ffcrossover is for 15. i remember seeing in a post to "look out for black cars roaming the realm".

If you already acquired the gear you can buy it from the calamity savager.

And for those who haven't already acquired the gear, and are looking to the post to see if there's any new news, no, SE has said nothing about Lightning striking a 4th time. Nor have they said anything about putting Lightning/Snow hairstyles and gear into the Cash Shop, something which I think is more likely to happen than rolling out the event again.

I think the Calamity Salvager will only exchange it for you, not let you purchase it outright. i.e. if you had the Snow gear then Fantasia to female, you can exchange the Snow set for the Lightning set.

I know I've had the Lightning look alike armor and I know I've had the bohemian stuff, but neither of it is at my calamity salvager, I've checked each option. Maybe I should put in a ticket.

Just for clarification, which menu is it supposed to be under, seasonals 2 and I think 4 are empty for me except for ether pots.

Yes that is true I never was able to turn in the last quest due to the level requiremnt being 45 I finished the fate and had the package for the turn in to get the gear from the quest but couldn't -.-. I tried to exchange it at the salvager for the gear and it wouldn't let me :/

The items will be in CS or like last year perhaps the crossover DQ/FFXIII/FFXI events could make yet another comeback for the upcoming anniversary like it did in the first. Other then that theirs probably no chance

Like shinun stated, It is possible, but those events have worn out their welcome. The 1 year anniversary was something huge to ff to allow them to bring back limited time events like Lightning Returns back. I say keep an eye out for it, but don't expect it. these limited time events are more for sales and that was really the only reason why they brought lightning back. It was so they can promote lightning returns for free.
