    AST Favorite or Hated Card Combos

    There are card combos we love and combo we find that do practically nothing in our eyes. What do you think your best and/or worst card combos are? Name more than one if you want.

    What's a card combo? An upgrade and the card used with it. I.E. Expanded Ewer or Enhanced Balance.

    My favorite for all things is Extended Spear and Enhanced Arrow. Except with a BLM, Spear has me or anyone I put it on jumping with joy and stomping things into the dirt more often. For Arrow, it's the speed of Lightning Grease 3, real lifesaver for healing, soloing, or putting it on another DPS. Monks with ULTIMATE SPEED!!! I know Black mages would also kill for this. C:

    I hate expanded Ewer for most things. AoE Ewer is often a waste cause most of the time I'm the only one using MP. :C

    Enhanced spear is my love, allows me to reboot my MP regen skill sooner as well as throw out disable and synastry while knowing they will be back very soon though I will try to do an AOE version of it if I happen to pull the right card but Spear is almost always in my spread going into a boss fight. Extended/Enhanced Balance + time dilation on a DPS always peaks my interest and is a hard choice sometimes.

    Any kind of enhanced Balance or Arrow, because reasons.

    Extended Bole for tanks.

    Extended Ewers for me.

    Spear when Luminiferous Aether is off CD, triple love of a bunch of other CD's are also off CD

    Hate:

    Enhanced most things if Time dilation isn't up, 1.5 just can't keep up with giving an expanded buff on Balance or Arrow.

    Spire card when I already have the Royal Road I want. Just way too situational.

    I absolutely love extended Ewer on myself. By itself it doesn't seem to help much, unless you use it RIGHT after shit has hit the fan, just before you start really healing hard. But with the extra duration you have so much time. You can AoE regen and then regen the tank and switch to Cleric's for some damage, you can go all out mad with heals for a while, it's great.

    Expanded Balance during a burn phase.

    honestly like 95% of the time i am only looking for any buffed version of the balance or the arrow
    I actually prefer extended or enhanced since they work much better with time dilation but i never say no to expanded either

    other than that i really hate pulling spear when i already have a royal road up. The only solid use i see for it is reducing my own cooldowns which most of the time is unnecessary anyways

    really the way i see it is

    ewer/spire: only really good for dark knight tank for ewer or an aoe pull for warrior or bard and that is about it
    spear: way too hard to coordinate on anyone but yourself
    bole: drawn at a useless time almost always despite having potential power

    pretty much everything but the balance and the arrow is only there to burn and since spread is more often than not used to grab an arrow/balance that was drawn before a royal road since that is the most effective use of it you can't even really say spread them and save them for situational moments

    My actual use of the cards without and with combos are normally like this

    the Balance Increases target's damage dealt by 10%. Duration: 15s <- Blm & Nin +Potency
    the Bole Reduces target's damage taken by 10%. Duration: 15s <- Tanks +Potency
    the Arrow Increases target's attack speed by 10%. Duration: 15s <- Mnk & Smn +Potency
    the Spear Reduces target's action recast time (non-GCD) by 20%. Duration: 20s <- Drg, Mch & Brd +Duration
    the Ewer Reduces MP cost of target's spells by 20%. Duration: 20s <- Healers +Duration
    the Spire Reduces TP cost of target's weaponskills by 20%. Duration: 20s <- Royal road
