Hello Hyperion,

Eorzean Defense System [EDS] is currently looking for more members! Founded on 11/12/13, we have always aimed to foster a community similar to the one many of us remember remember in FFXI. We believe FC members are more than just people to do something with -- they are also friends, and, if you are feeling gushy enough... family. :P Our community extends outside of the game. We have a Mumble server and a FB group, and we have had several Free Company RL meetups. Many of us are (or have become) RL friends, so naturally we often speak to each other outside the game, and play other games with each other. We occasionally have contests.

That said, we are also very welcoming of new people, if you are interesting in joining a community like this. Unfortunately, many of our members are on break because the newest content hasn't really gripped them... and that is why I have been asked to recruit! Those of us who are active would like to have more people to run the newest content with, namely Diadem. We currently have two airships (one at cap level and one that is leveling). At the present moment, we barely have enough active members to fill up one of those airships for an exploratory mission. Those of us who do still play are frustrated at the lack of people and would love to add some like-minded individuals to our ranks so that we all can have fun.

A brief overview of the FC:

Founded on 11/12/13 (Just passed our second anniversary!)
Mumble Server (for all to use -- feel free to invite trusted guests in)
Active FB Group (many people who are on break still participate in the FB group)
Medium House (Lavender Beds, Ward 6, Plot 11)
Airships: 2 (One 50, One in the teens)
Raiding: Some of us do or have done savage, but we no longer have any official FC groups. At our largest, we had 3 FC coil groups.
PvP: Some of us are interested and will do it, but none of us PvP in a serious way
Main Goals: Newest content (Diadem + Thordan Ex)
Other stuff we like to do: Maps, Horse farming, Glamour farming

When are we active? On any given day, we currently have the most people on between 7pm EST and 12am EST. During other parts of the day, it's rare to see anyone on. Most of us are on the East coast, but we do have a few PST members. We are hoping to expand so that we will have enough people to accomplish anything requiring 8 people, especially if it is difficult content.

Lastly, if you would like to join -- we ask that you be patient. At our most active, it wasn't unheard of to have 20-ish people on during prime time. But, right now, we're lucky if we have 5 or 6 during prime time. We are attempting to replenish our numbers so it may be difficult to find people right away. But... if you would like to join a close-knit group of people and become part of our little team... it will be worth it. :P This FC might be perfect for you if you are new to the server or are looking for a FC that would welcome a group of people.
