I am the only BRD who misses support more than DPS?

Hello,
this is not another QQ thread (I hope), we have enough of them and I fully support them.
I would just like to know the opinion of other BRDs on our situation in 3.0.

From my own experience I think that our DPS is completely fine now, but I kinda hopped for more support skills in 3.0.

ATM we have 3 "old" songs and new "stoneskin" that is probably supposed to be used only in special situations. While I believe there are many options for new supportability.

Appart from new songs that could offer heal boost over time (I know we have cross classmantra already), we could get for example insta cast skill that would deplete our whole mana and give everyone in pt 100 - 200% potency boost to their following skill. This would require lots of coordination in team so the people would not just waste the buff on some 50 potency off GCD skill but if handled well, it could be epic.

In end I would just like to say that I am one of the BRDs who are willing to sacrifice some DPS in order to be more supportive.

The only change to the support that I'd like to be made is for Foe's to affect all damage, not just magical. That way I have something to play when I don't have a caster in the group.

Oh yeah, and Warden's not being practically useless.

It'd be an utter nightmare to balance to a practical standpoint, esp for MCH whose the direct counterpart to BRD.

Nope, we're DPS. Why, or even how someone can miss something we arent is beyond me but I digress. We never were support, at least not since ARR. If anything we need more DPS. Even if the only way to do that is to further nerf our songs then so be it.

IF (and thats BIG if) SE were to ever implement an official support role complete with a place in DF, then maybe thered be a reason for more support abilities or buffs. Otherwise we're just some cheap hybrid thats only really useful in new groups trying to get their first clear, and a burden to those needing to beat tough DPS checks.

I was hoping for a few more support options too. I don't play Bard but I've always been a fan of the party buff classes.

The biggest thing I think BRD lost was the healer LB.

I've never thought "damn, I wish this BRD would dps LB". But I have thought "welp, the healers are dead, only mt and brd alive, would be nice if that BRD could healer lb3".

I would like to see this in a little compromise. DPS LB for PvP and heal lb for PvE content.

I have never said we aren't DPS. But what is the purpose of having Archer class with cast times, no support and same DPS as mages? In that case they could rather give bow glamour to BLM.
BRD was always accepted as a DPS class (by me) with lower DPS and supportive skills and I would rather see them further this side of the BRD. I am not saying that your definition is wrong, everyone plays BRD for something else. That is why I made this thread, to know opinions of other BRDs.

Agree with OP. Instead of giving us a caster dps stance they should have given us a phy damage increase song for a target party member. We keep our support and also close the dps gap.
