Returning to game after the free first month...

Hey. I haven't really played since after the first free month (regrettably) as life took me to other things aside from gaming, but now I have the time to invest and this is the game I want to do it in! I am bringing a few friends with me, and I'll probably be rerolling with them on a different server. I have a few questions!

1. With the game having a little bit of age on it now (relative to being new), how is the leveling experience? Is it hard to find groups at lower levels now due to everyone being capped or being in the new expansion or is it still a bustling number of people all the way up?

2. In the move to Heavensward, did all of the lvl 50 content I remember doing at level cap in my first month (like the primals, ifrit, garuda, titan and such) get left behind or were they scaled up? Are they used for anything? I thought these fights were pretty fun and it would be sad if I can't show my friends these encounters at least once (in their threatening form as opposed to like, creaming them due to out-leveling them).

3. Are Au Ra's as amazing as they look?! I plan to roll this race with my new character!

1. For lower level dungeons, there's the low roulette that people often sign up for, don't expect a very social experience from those people though.. They generally want quick and clean runs for their tomes. Best bet would be to find a nice FC/LS, or make sure you level with your friends as much as you can.

2. Level 50 content is still level 50, didn't get scaled up. However, you can run them as level 50 synced group rather than go in as a level 60 group, or go in with an undersized group and try to duo the primals

3. They're okay, there's a LOT of Au Ra running around though =)

I still see many sprouts (new players) on Ultros, even if they're just alts it says to me that people are still levelling all the way from level 1, I can't really imagine getting into lower level dungeons being a challenge especially as a tank or healer (dps queues however have always been a little longer than I'd like but that's to be expected), I still see low level fate areas alive and well also. There is plenty of reasons even for max levels to go back and do low level dungeons as well. As Millerna said, a good FC and LS can go a long way to helping as well! There's also still lots of reasons to run level 50 content as well! I personally love Au Ra, I feel they have a great personality to them and IMO they look fantastic!

So what about the super cool prime raid of the lvl 50 content, Coil I think it's called? Is this possible for me to experience?

In my opinion, I don't like the Au Ra. Way more than the cats we used to have and they just look like anime characters. Everyone else seems to want to be them though.

You'll have a tough time trying to find 7 other people to do synced coil without being overgeared.

You still have the option but, since the level cap is 60 now, with a new expansion, we have all new content.
Coils reign of glory is over, and now all it is, is a big glamour lottery that you can go farm.
(Even at 60 if you don't follow mechanics in coil you will wipe. That being said, if you have some people who know what their doing, it's very faceroll with gear at 60.)
