With all the Maintenance going on recently (well away this is how it goes with a new expansion and such) I'm curious as to why there's no patch notes released in detail what the problem was, what the fixes were, and so on... I know big patches have the patch notes but even just filling us in as to what's going on calms a player base in my opinion.

Those links don't have any mention of the recent emergency maintenance which is what I think the op was asking about.

In order to address the issue occurring since Jul. 14, 2015 causing players to become disconnected from certain instanced content on certain data center Worlds, we will be performing emergency maintenance on all Worlds at the time below. During this period, FINAL FANTASY XIV will be unavailable.

* The World Transfer Service will be suspended 15 minutes before maintenance begins, and will be unavailable until maintenance has ended.

True, but i mentioned that you can find details about the hotfixes at those 2 locations. The emergency maintenance from last night didn’t involve the implementation of hotfixes for patch 3.01, but to “address the issue occurring since Jul. 14, 2015 causing players to become disconnected from certain instanced content on certain data center Worlds”. Like Vaer mentioned in the post above.

Those types of maintenances don’t require “Patch notes”, which the OP was asking for as well.

Once the maintenance task is completed, SE will post a message within the News/Maintenance/Updates section of Lodestone, informing players of its completion. If a patch/hotfix has been applied, the post will also contain a hyperlink, referring to a post of the official forum containing info regarding the items which have been addressed.
