Over this weekend I am going to convert all my hides and logs before the nerf to the yields go into effect.
::Edit:: With these changes, I think they need to change the gathering fatigue system or the yield per each gathering attempt.

Well, I too am above r36 in all crafters, plus 2 50's and 2 close to 50. Though, I'm not all that upset about it. Everyone whos been playing this game for a while should be expecting the way they've done things in the past to change. MMO's in general change a lot over time. The recipes may change again in the future, and maybe again after that. But this is one change that is completely necessary for the crafting system. It wont be as bad as you think. Crafting finsihed items was just way too time consuming. It sucks for the high rank crafters that put up with all the going to various cities for the right facility or dying the item with the extremely-specific dye and making all those stupid extra little pieces or parts that just consumed inventory space until you used them, but on the bright side, we wont have to put up with it anymore. One of my main points on this is the fact that someone that spends most of their time raising their crafts up to make the best gear you can for your character and Linkshell, is wasted time now, or will be after the update, basically crafting system after the patch will allow anyone without all the skills to make the same pieces as someone that did actually spend time leveling up the subs to make stuff. Prices are about to get retarded on items, alot of the mobs now will be over camped and some stuff will be just stupid hard to get because of the reducing of materials, so yes they give you more space in your retainer and inventory, but now your gonna have to fight other players for the reduced items your gonna need to make stuff.
At what point did grind=difficulty? It seems like a lot of long-time players are so used to things as is, and not looking at the greater picture. Spending four hours on a rank does not make it difficult, it makes it time consuming. When you play the same mini-game four 60+ hours to max a crafting profession, you're looking at tedious not difficult. Unless of course a lot of you are just saying its difficult to sit in front of a screen playing the same mini-game over and over, to which I'd agree. It is difficult to endure the mind-numbing pain of leveling a crafting profession.
Ok so your saying everyone that plays the game should be able to get their crafts up fast, then there is no more player selling market, I mean who the hell needs to buy things if everyone and their brother can make it, whats the point of even being a crafter? Se is just making it easier to do things because noobs complain and say things are too hard, or whatever they say. I say if you don't put the time in, you shouldn't be rewarded by fast tracking the game. If you lose the desire to play any game because its been simplified, is it your fault?, or the fault of who designed it?
And on a design scale, if the game bottoms out because of the tedium you want others to play through, how does that enhance your market? The general consensus is that the upcoming changes with no changes in SP gain will lengthen an already insane grind to max crafting professions. Remember it is a game, not a second job. Just because you find it acceptable to put that much time into your "job", doesn't mean its the best decision for the game/community as a whole. Being that you've maxed most professions already, your argument is quite a bit on the biased side anyways.Ok so your saying everyone that plays the game should be able to get their crafts up fast, then there is no more player selling market, I mean who the hell needs to buy things if everyone and their brother can make it, whats the point of even being a crafter?
