Greetings. I have an idea how the SE can make existing content more interesting, give it a new life, making it more challenged. The idea of ??content challenges. What is the situation now? Content is passed, and it becomes a little interesting, visit it once a week and receive reward. That is all. It becomes very boring when the game does not make the new challenges every day. Of course players themselves sometimes make different entertainments- unusual chasing of content, but what if the game itself will offer to players chase something in unusual way, with unusual conditions or parameters? It can be a great amount of different challenges almost for every dungeon, trial, or Coil and Alexander.
--- For example: pass something for a little amount time (to kill Primal, clear the Coil or Alexander); pass something in undergear (in the level below the recommended ilvl equipment); pass something something in unusual group (4 identical DD or without DD (only tanks and healers); pass something in a group of unusual size (undersized group of different classes)
--- Other possible variants of challenges are directly related to the content itself. For example: go to Coil 1 and clear it, but with mandatory condition- snake boss should hang the 8 buff stacks, for example. Or go to Coil 9 and clear it, but with mandatory condition- in the the first phase should fall 8 or more stones, and in the second phase should fall at least 3 heaven's falls and so on
--- Also may be a combination of challenges: pass something for a little amount of time + group should be undergeared + undersized and so on (other combinations). Also developers can create some hidden, secret challenges, the essence of which will be set out in the form of riddles or puzzles (in text or graphic form)
I see different variants of realization:
1) It can be something like a weekly or daily log Challenge, but will be called differently. In it will be shown how and what to chase, and after the clear a certain message will pop up on the passed test
2) It can be a special NPC, that gives challenges in the form of a daily or weekly quests with a certain interesting reward. Also, maybe, we will be able to pick the difficult level of a challenge ( normal, hard, impossible)
3) It can be a special option in the DF. Players make a group (full or not, standard or not, undergeared or not), the leader will pick the content and push a special option "find a challenge"
Of course for completing the challenges will be given rewards and achievements will be given (with prizes including mounts and costumes^^)
Of course the challenges must be created only for pre-made parties, because it is not something casual
Most importantly, it should not be something casual. it should be hard and very hard to beat and it must be very complex tests not for completing by anyone, but only by really good players, it is the main point- do something not available for most other players
