    When use Deliverance???

Im a Warrior iLv 173 and just finished A1-4 with no problems, so I my initial impression and only use of deliverance has been for solo content and when I have to dish some damage without worries like breaking bismarck spine ^^, but apart from that, I don't feel like using it; sure, I got more attack, but my HP and enmity goes down, and as a tank, I feel that is my responsibility to keep this two things up, my job is to defend, not to DPS.

Also, all my points and armor are towards VIT including accesories, sure, I have the ilv180 axe, can keep aggro with no problems, without fighting with the main tank when I OT.

Any thoughts on this? because right now of all the new 3.0 WAR skills only Raw Intuition and Equilibrium are worth something to me.

And sorry for my english ^^

What I do for trash mobs in dungeons is

Have defiance up always before a pull
After my aggro is so high (overpower spams during mid/big pulls) and one mob is close to die and I have 4 or 5 stacks of Wrath, I switch to deliverance and berserk, spend the Abandon stacks to Decimate twice (Infuriate in-between), some more overpower spams if there are 3+ mobs still alive, otherwise I just alternate regular combos in the 2 targets.
If healer is having issues keeping me alive, either I switch back to defiance (very unlikely, by this time mobs are about to die usually) or pop Thrill of Battle and/or Convalescence to "mimic" Defiance effects.

For dungeon bosses I pull it with defiance on, (if not 5 stacks, Infuriate) use Unchained, Storm's Eye combo, berserk, Butcher's block combo, Deliverance, double or triple fell cleave (using infuriate if available, Vengeance or Raw Intuition for mitigation and abandon stacks), when berserk runs out and I'm pacified i'll either swap back to Defiance or if everything is good / boss only doing mostly avoidable things i'll keep Deliverance. Bloodbath also helps a lot with self heals.

I do use 2 or 3 STR accessories and I don't have issues with hate being stolen by DPS or healers, since that Unchained + Berserk pull is a freaking massive initial aggro.

We don't have "hard" raids atm, so for Alex easy mode I usually OT, but I MT every now and then.
For A1 Deliverance is totally acceptable imo for a WAR tanking 0.5. Even more so if party is heavily melee in composition, since they tend to stay DPSing 1.0 and usually will not move to DPS the 0.5 robot.
For A2, pretty much the trash mobs pull from dungeons.
A3 deliverance all the way if I'm OT, otherwise dungeon boss strategy if I'm MT. May or may not switch to defiance during double hands phase if I see healers struggling to keep me or other tank alive and/or are low on MP. Defiance when I tank during the last phase after the swap.
A4 OT, deliverance all the way. A4 MT, mostly Defiance, will switch to Deliverance for a burst in damage when berserk/infuriate are up and tank busters are not incoming.

BisEx: Defiance on pull, switch to deliverance, berserk burst in Bis' back, defiance for green/blue serpent adds, after that deliverance all the way
RavEx: Deliverance all the way if OT, Defiance all the way if MT, except during the red shell thing where ravana does not attack at all and everything does double dmg.

Use it if you are confident that you will be able to handle yourself, and when there is no risk for high damage spikes.

One huge benefit for war is that our tank stance is off gcd so we can swap without sacrificing an action and damage, so you should get used to swapping a lot during fights as OT.

Also the only way to protect the group sometimes is to contribute with damage, considering that there are multiple dps checks that must be cleared in several encounters.

    WARRIOR DELIVERANCE F.A.Q.

Q: When should I use Deliverance?

A: 1. If your group has high dps, you can stay in Deliverance since trash dies so quickly.

    2. If you group has low dps, you can stay in Deliverance to help improve kill times.

Q: When should I turn off Deliverance?

    A: F*** you.

Q: I love using Deliverance but my healer keeps getting aggro. How can I stop that from happening?

A: Use Fell Cleave more often.

Q: Why does my dps keep parsing below a Summoner? I'm a Warrior.

A: Summoners never parse above me. For some reason they keep dying right away and my dps ends up higher. Summoners are useless.

Q: I saw a youtube video of a bunch of warriors running a dungeon--

A: Yeah, that video was awesome wasn't it?

Q --but it was taking them longer to finish than a regular group so I was--

    A: F*** you.

Q: Why do monks and ninjas keep asking me why I stay in Deliverance?

    A: Vote Kick.

Q: My group wants to know why I keep dying so often?

A: White Mages are terrible healers.

Q: Why won't my static let me tank for them anymore?

A: Are you remembering to stay in Deliverence?

    Q : Yes.

    A: Not sure.

Q: Why don't Paladins have axes?

    A: Because Paladins suck.

Q: Why doesn't Deliverance solve all my problems immediately?

A: Because man is born alone in this cold universe.

Q: My brother whom I play this game with no longer wants to run dungeons with me because I stay in Deliverance and I'm giving a lot of thought to stabbing him in his sleep.

A: I really miss my dad.

Q: I keep getting yelled at for MT-ing in deliverance, and when I tell them the things you told me to say, I always get kicked.

A: So? At least you aren't a pussy willow. Remember, 'MT' stands for MAN TANK. So be a man and stay in deliverance!

Q: So I notice you haven't even done any coils and I'm wondering if that means--

    A: No more questions.

I only use it when I'm either:

A: Comfortable and Confident in my healer (non duty finder groups unless that healer is good)

    B: Oting

C: Dps check and literally nothing needs to be tanked.

D: I am taking little damage and have no point in staying in defiance (AFTER I've built high eminity)

I may be wrong, but I still handle deliverance tanking the same way I handled stance dancing pre.3.0., utilizing cooldown combinations to compensate for dropping defiance (veng,TobConv) the only difference now is I don't lose my stacks and joygasm FC.

Knowing when you can stance dance can't be dictated to some one really, imo.
To many variables, it all boils down to how familiar and knowledgeable you are with the content your running and your job abilities. With experience and time when your comfortable with the content bein ran you'll know when it's safe or optimal to drop defiance. During the learning phases of trial and error in progression I still stay in def full time, unless I'm OT if course

For trash pulls, I often stay in Defiance. Unless for some reason fighting stuff much weaker than me.

However, Deliverance comes in very handy on bosses. A fun tactic is to start in Defiance, Maim, Unchained, Berzerk, Storm's Eye, then a couple enmity combos. That should be all the agro you need, so switch to Deliverance and BB/SE/Fracture/Fell Cleave for rest of the fight.

Can rotate defensive cooldowns ( assuming not a special reason to save them). Just 1 or 2 up at all times while in Deliverance: veng alone, thrill+conv, raw intuition+awareness, foresight somewhere. You will run out at some point, so be ready to Defiance+Equilibruim.

Our static WAR refuses to not use deliverance lol. We keep reminding him Savage progression starts Tuesday and his deliverance only days are limited.

    Q. Why do you come off like you're an asshat?
    A. Because if this is how you help someone, then it's painfully obvious that you spend too much time gaming and not enough time making real life friends that would knock your teeth in for being so snarky and condescending.
