Unable to finish/continue "Leves of the Observitorium" sidequest

Steps:
1. Traveled to Camp Drybone via Teleport
2. I took the Chocobo Porter to the First Dicasterial Observatorium of Aetherial and Astrological Phenomena.
3. I ran around the Observatorium area looking for Cimeaurant and found him.
4. I talked to Cimeaurant and he told me that I need to make sure I am ready for the quest. (I started this quest months ago as that was the last time I ran through that area when leveling)
5. Looked at my quest log to "Initiate" the Leve Trial and saw no such button.
6. Clicked on the only button available ("Map") and the error "Map cannot be displayed at this time" popped up.
7. I unchecked all of my active quests and checked "Leves of the Observatorium."
8. I opened the general map with the "M" shortkey and surveyed Coerthas Central Highlands for a red circle to run to and start the quest; I found no such circle.
9. I teleported to The Black Shroud and then back to Camp Drybone and repeated steps 1 through 8.
10. I asked my linkshells and Free Company for advice, to no avail.
11. I then contacted a GM, who referred me here.

The leve is listed as its own quest. Leves have a card symbol next to them and their map marker is green.

Thanks, Was looking for the leve initiate in the quest tab of the quest log when it was in the levequest tab as "Saving Bessy." ::Feels dumb::
