Also nobody makes Parts so you would generally have to hunt someone down or make them yourself if you want to make the item.

I am still kind of confused. Please answer this question someone. Will any raw materials (not crafted in anyway) be removed from the game or now useless (like many branches)? If so, I want to NPC those, so please help compile a list.
I think the issue here is that people are reading one thing and reading too much into it. They may or may not choose to remove certain recipes but I did not see anywhere in the patch notes about them eliminating any recipes. They have changed some and those were listed. So the old recipe was replaced meaning that only the old recipe was removed from the game and not the items used to make them. The best way to describe what they did was "streamlining" Example:Uhhmm. Now I am more confused than ever. I thought I understood how this was all going to work before. The way i understood it is these items will be usable with the old recipes for a while longer then the old recipes and these items like nuggets would no longer be usable. If thats the case then say that. No need to make this complicated.
Just say something along the lines of "This list of items will continue to be usable with old recipes until a future patch removes the old recipes and makes this list of items useless."
Iron ingot from start: Old Recipe Tree- Iron Ore x 4 + 1FC---> Iron Nugget x5 +1FC
New Recipe- Iron Ore x3 +1FC
This does not remove Iron Nuggets from the game. It just means they are not in that synth...making Iron Ingots far easier and less expensive to produce and allowing the player to skip making the nuggets in order to get what they want. They are trying to eliminate the "middle" synths or the prep work needed to do what people want to do to level a craft. That was where the really boring grind was at was burning Shards and Crystals to produce one product which you were getting no skill off of and then having to make another product (again no skill up) and then finally producing the product you actually are going to use to skill. Iron Nuggets will still be around and usable for other synths but now you will produce either Nuggets or Ingots from your Ore.
If you have a base raw material (ie. Limonite, Iron Sand etc.) you will not be able farm these things but will be able to craft with them if you have them. They will still be in your inventory but you will not be able to obtain more of them. Only some branch types will be removed from the game that correspond to the Logs being removed. That does not mean they will be deleted from your inventory. Eventually they will be when/if another update changes all of the recipes associated with those branches. Unless the patch notes specifically state that a recipe using those branches has changed then that recipe will remain the same and you will be able to use those branches for those recipes. Once you run out of those branches however you will not be able to do that synth anymore unless you buy or get them from another player who may have some. Also please cross reference the "Items that will no longer drop from Monsters" list with the "Items that can no longer be gathered list" for things that can no longer be farmed. Check the "Items no longer available in NPC shops" also to be sure. Please also keep in mind that things like Fine, River and Sea Sands will still be craftable just not sold, dropped or gathered.

Just wanted to expand on this.
Please take note people : River, Sea and Fine Sand have not been completely removed from the game. While you can't buy, gather, or have it dropped, you can still synth/desynth those items.
Instead, the devs have introduced a recipe that requires Fine Sand (Vintage Hauby). This fairly strongly signifies their intention to keep Fine Sand in the game, albeit far more difficult to get. The increased difficulty in obtaining it will, of course, have a significant impact on the crystal economy given how many people rely on Fine Sand at the moment.
However on the counter-balancing side, the new recipes which will be available won't need as many crystals and shards as they did previously.
Additionally, to keep things in perspective, it is entirely possible to desynth your shards and crystals from fish, without any Fine Sand at all.
No need to panic, the sky isn't falling Henny-Pennys, they haven't prevented us from desynthing crystals in to shards, or fish into crystals or shards, they've just made the intermediate item (Fine Sand) more difficult to obtain.
If the devs think Fine Sand access is far too easy as it stands, then it's within their right and ability to correct that balance. Personally I have absolutely no problem with this.
OK so since Coal Tar will no longer be dropping could someone please update the recipe for tarred leather culottes. I checked and it was not updated. If I am wrong could someone please direct me to the correct updated recipe.
Can we just get lists of "Items that will be deleted in 1.19", "Items that we plan on deleting in 1.20" and "Items that we plan on deleting in 1.21" ?
I think that would be the most clear, and from that people can attend to their inventories.
to me it would be much simpler if they just posted what was changing in 1.19 and leave the others alone for now. with over a month in between patches we don't need to see other things being deleted that far out. what people needed to know was what was being changed in a few days. after the patch they could post what they were planning to remove the following patch and give people a month or so to make adjustments.
by posting things that are part of 1.19, 1.20, and 1.21 they just added to the confusion instead of sorting any of it.

Can someone 100% confirm that will the hide process with chip will also yield just 1 leather or it will be 4 with chip and 1 with alumen since this is technically 2 different receipe unlike log to lumber? I got like 80 buffalo hide on my retainer and not sure if i want to process them into leather tomorrow lol.
My what a large list! I feel like a dunce though, even after reading the extra info posted in this thread I still don't understand some things.![]()
What about crafted items that are not anywhere on the list, like Leather Jerkin and Cotton Robe?
Are all the items made with canvas just being phased out?
Is the color pink for crafted gear just . . . gone, not to be added back anytime soon?
I would assume that crafted items not on the list that have recipes with soon-to-be-extinct "parts" (wolfskin chest guard, red cotton robe back, etc) are going to be craftable for awhile longer with what materials are already in the game pre-1.19, but will eventually be phased out. But I wish I understood for sure what they mean.
Does anyone know?![]()
