Lol, your sig. That is amazing.I agree. I was really irritated it wasn't mentioned in the original recipe changes post. Cause I knew it was mentioned weeks ago, but I wanted final confirmation on it. Plus, it's just bad for newer players/players on break who craft and haven't seen that dev post a while ago regarding it. Resulting in them scurrying about trying to exhaust or convert their materials only to find out they never needed to do it til 1.20.
atm iam more worried about the QA,then anything
it looks like beta -> release, all over again, this change is overpushed, and not beeing talked to us first.
best example , ether, they didnt even notice ,that they remove the resources for ether.
there are way more items of that kind, where it doesnt fit, and if mobs dont drop it anymore,it would be no help,if alches still could use the old recipes..
simple said, they found one item, but if not pointed to,they miss many otherエーテルが作成できなくなってしまう件について、開発チームに報告しました。
プークの翼については、1.19に間に合うよう早急にドロップしなくなるアイテムから、
除外するよう対応を行いますとのことです。ご報告ありがとうございました。
I have reported the above to the dev team.
For Puk Wings they will make quick change so item is removed from the list of items that will be removed to make it with 1.19 patch. Thank you for reporting.
this patch wont be helpful, but hey... they have to stick on time, instead of thinking all thru, right?

Pretty sure Bay and them working on the official translation one, the JP one was posted early this morning PST, normally for important stuff gets official translation by Bay or Rikku same day
Now I know things can change after the patch and all that, but I can't help but worry about my ongoing process of leveling crafts.
The people who say things like "2 bolls into 1 yarn is ok, we'll skill up with yarn synth in stead of what we're making now, no biggie!" must have absolutely no clue what they're talking about. And this is just one example.
As a player who just recently returned to the game after around 10 months break, I feel really bad. Because in stead of being away from the game I could've kept on crafting and I wouldn't have to worry about leveling them now. Having all crafts somewhere between R10 and 30 sure felt like a good start somewhere back in october 2010, but now it just feels I'm going to have some hard times ahead.
I guess the best bet for me would be to use all of my gil on good crafting mats that can still be used til 1.20 and level my crafts with them til my eyes bleed.
Has someone alrady answered about "the items that will no longer be used" question? I mean there was stuff on there like gold ingot and items that dont even exist in game. Other things like ogre horn dont make any damn sense.. if they are revising the recipe for horn glue to still use ogre horn then why remove the orge horn in he future?
Somethings just arent adding up...
on another note, I wish the new weaver synths would have used a shiny material. The weaver, con, and thm guilds make me jealous with all the shiny npc robes and gowns ; ;
I had that feeling too.
There's latex in the game, but we can't use it to make clothes out of
The Miqo'te Of The Sun picture in the instruction manual looks like she's wearing a latex top, and there's a Miqo'te Of The Moon during the Limsa main story arc that looks to be wearing the black version. (Can't find a picture of her though)
I guess they're saving silk or something similar for a cap increase or something. Oh well!I had that feeling too.

Indeed, I'm really looking forward to seeing if they add silk as the next cloth, and if so, what kind of clothes can be crafted from it.
As much as I don't mind all these unisex clothes right now, I'd like to be able to dress pretty eventually, 'cos my miqo'te is a tom-cat, not a tom-boy.
I hope people can keep in mind that these recipe changes are simply a part of a larger system.
Materia system : Creates increased demand for NQ items, as the only way to create a piece of materia is to destroy a piece of gear. This will make it easier to sell those NQ items.
HQ changes : With the upcoming change in 1.20, that HQ ingredients will create an HQ finished item 100%, it seems quite necessary that said ingredient synths only create quantity one.
Will the new system be balanced and perfect right out of the gate? Not at all. 1.19 is an awkward "in between" phase, like the FFXIV's adolescence.
