Hi. Wanting to improve my tanking.

Hello all, I have recently started to level my DRK, currently at lvl 35. I have my WAR and PLD at 50 so I am not a complete rookie at tanking, but I do seem to feel nervous about tanking, so have you got any advice or tips for someone who is trying to tank as a DRK? I find it really interesting and the animations are quite cool, so I don't want to give up halfway with it.

35 is where you start managing your Blood price CD even though you can pop it in most any pull at low level and it'll be useful. honestly there's not much to know till you hit 42 for dark mind then 45 for dark arts.

42 is when you start learning when to use dark mind for magic attacks, hopefully you already know the rules of Magic vs Physical damage checking as a tank and 45 is when you start playing with dark art effects.

Some useful things I do as DRK
-Go for buffed souleater combos when bloodbath is up for maximum HP gain, I go from 1k heals off the souleater finisher to 1.2k at my current gear score (i183 as of this post)
-Go for a buffed dark passenger when blood price is up to help quickly offset the costs and if you have the extra MP buff a dark dance as well to dodge a lot of attacks helps a lot with tanking
-If you foresee yourself needing multiple stuns for things throw your stun when you need it then pop dark dance and pray

You got your WAR and PLD to 50 and you're nervous about tanking? Kind of odd.

Anyways, my biggest piece of advice: Dungeons. You can FATE grind, but do dungeons as well so you learn your skills better and get practice.

No need to doubt ppl who come to the proper forum to ask for help and advise. Expansion had been out 1 monthish and they are only 5 levels. With all the information out there both positive and negative, this is the proper community for ppl to come and get/share advise.making it awkward for ppl who ask questions might make them my not ask in the future creating bad tanking habits.
