No issue. Damage can be capped by level. =)

Capped by HP max, like Mercy Stroke, Soul Survivor, Stoneskin, etc...

Also, since damage reduction hurts a DRK his temps can instead be:

"Damage taken, instead heals you."

The down side to that is. One shots will still kill you since damage happens before it heals you. So you might need Vitality gear.
