    Hunted mats need rebalancing compared to mined/harvested mats in recipes

    In 2.0:
    1. Most leathers require 1 skin
    2. Most ingots require 3 ore
    3. Most lumber requires 3 logs
    4. Most thread requires 2 web/fleece/flax/cotton/whatever

    In 3.0:
    1. Most leathers require 3 skins
    2. Most nuggets require 5 sands
    3. Most lumber requires 5 logs
    4. Most thread requires 3 new mats and 2 old mats
    5. Chimerical felt requires 5 manes
    6. All dissolvent requires 4 Deepeye Tears AND 2 of some other hunted mat AND Volcanic Rock Salt (unspoiled node)

    HOWEVER, the time/effort it takes to gather 3 skins for one leather is way out of proportion compared to gathering 5 sands/logs for one intermediate mat for those classes. Consider a fair comparison established by the developers: retainer targeted gathering ventures. These were balanced in 2.0 to yield a fixed fraction of what the developers expected people to gather in an hour. Hunting retainers gather 5/7/10 skins per venture depending on gear/level. DoL retainers gather 15/20/30 ore per venture. In 2.0, this was proportional because of the above ratios of base mats to crafted intermediates. 1 venture was worth 5 leather or 5 ingots. In 3.0, 1 venture is worth 3 nuggets but only 1.67 leather. The proportion is all wrong! Please rebalance the number of hunted mats required for certain recipes, whether it be by increasing the drop rate from killing mobs or from retainer venture, or decreasing the number required by each recipe.

    Probly the biggest difference this is leavin' out is that there ain't no 'anointed' or combined leather (that I seen yet).

    Logs an' cloth get a second combine of a holy/hallowed water or two, eacha which takes two mined waters an' two a' those tea leaves ya leatherworkers know an' love by now. Ores get a second step ta turn nuggets inta ingots, which takes another five ore too.

    Certainly true that there're recipies that only use tha regular nuggets, but it ain't as clearly unjust as ya think.

    Yeah..... this is a bit annoying.... I've gathered probably close to 3,000 Muthrite Sand because of the fact that GSM, BSM, and ARM all use it, and then the fact other classes need nuggets for some of their synths....

    The early leathers require Coerthan Tea Leaves, an unspoiled node drop, just like the Holy/Hallowed Water you're referring to. However, all of that stuff is moot now that Coerthan Tea Leaves and both kinds of Mistletoe are purchaseable for very cheap at the NPC, making LTW and ALC once again unbalanced.
