Right after patch no matter how it's distributed, it's gonna be slow as hell.
And the downloader downloads hte torrents, you can retrieve them and load htem in your torrent client and it usually goes faster, but I haven't had to do that in months, it's been good lately.

Yeah it was terrible around launch and I had to get the torrent manually. I haven't had to do that in nearly a year though..
When I first got the game and patched it up it took hours and hours to finally finish downloading everything. The last patch didn't take very long at all though. Guess a lot of it depends on the bandwidth.
Used to take me hours to download the patches till I opened my ports, to be fair, I know not everyone can forward/trigger ports, but IF YOU CAN DO IT! DONT CHICKEN OUT!
