    Again, There is nothing wrong with that. Black mage is all about putting all your eggs in the same basket. You either do 100% damage or 0%
    Black mage being able to do melee tier dps when you finally have the oportunity(spelling) to stand still isn't a bad thing. Just like summoner can do god tier dps above everyone else when there is 2 targets to multidot.
    The whole argument of caster should deal less dps than melee because we have range stoped being a thing in 2.1, but for some reason people still like to believe melee dps have it hard

    They have to do something with astral fire because everything right now is too thight. We dont have the time for thundercloud proc. we dont have the time for firestarter proc (if it come from the fire I that refresh astral fire after 2 fire IV) moving out of an aoe remove one fire Iv from our rotation because we dont have the time to cancel a cast, Moving out of aoes too much mean you are likely to lose enochian unless you go in umbral ice with 10k mana left because we dont have the time to do shit. Everything was balanced around the idea of fighting a freaking dummy that doesnt fight back. Black mage need some sort of reward for being able to stand still for a decent period of time because right now our reward is mid tier dps. From a class who's *utility* skills are all weaker versions of things other classes already bring.

    And don't get me started on the random screw up the game sometime throw at you when enochian is about to run out, you go in umbral ice, You're missing just a little bit of mana to cast blizzard IV, your mana decide to take 2 hours to tick making you lose enochian because blizzard IV take 2 weeks to cast after waiting 2.5 seconds for your first mana tick to arrive. Or when mechanic cancel blizzard IV (im looking at you floor 4)

    So i don't know what you suggest but i don't know how they can give blm more time without extending astral fire or making blizzard IV always refresh enochian to 30seconds

    I've played a lot of mmos over the years and i have never seen a class this clunky and annoying before

    From what I heard, BLM is 100 years from beating BRDs in term of clunkyness. Worst scenairo is we have to sacrifire a F4 for F1 which is 180 Potency lost. Swiftcast can be used for that. I mean, I haven't seen a fight where a melee destroyed my DPS with movement.

    The one thing we need is SE fix Enochian so it fits our CD rotation because Enochian is delaying everything right now. They need to make Thundercloud more viable in the rotation. I don't see us needing an extended Astral Fire.

    To be fair, there isn't heavy movement fights in 3.0 right now. I have to move sometimes but it doesn't kill my DPS.

    I guess they'd have to somehow lengthen the effective duration of Enochian, or if you want to sort of encourage the use of Thundercloud procs in the rotation, have a Thundercloud proc Thunder III extend Enochian duration by a set amount without triggering Blizzard IV's diminishing returns (10 seconds, maybe?). It's a little too RNG for my tastes, but I don't see them messing with Thunder III's damage and instead think they may try to create some synergy between it and Enochian.

    * The sad thing is that FFXIV turned RDM into a turret, and people think that's what it's supposed to be. It's supposed to combine sword and magic into something more, not spend the bulk of gameplay spamming spells and jump into melee for only 3 GCDs before scurrying back to the back line like good little casters.
