Well Op everyone pays their dues that is how it goes in life and in game. Each time I take an alt up yeah running all that sucks, having to wait until sastashia is old news before you can run it first time, grinding MSQ to unlock dungeons and leves, it feels like wading through mud, by the time you hit 50 and a world of content hits you in the face you really don't want to stop and clear all those hard modes. You feel entitled and here's a secret we all felt that way even when it was new content, what do? You get a friend to buy you heavens starter gear and faceroll all of it, don't neglect your relic weapon quests either or Hildi, grind it all, open it all up.

There really is no rush because despite what the "elitists" say, "we called them casuals in WoW endgame because FFXIV has no real endgame by any other games standards lol 60 cap." Take your time level a gatherer and a craft or 6, you'll need it to make all that junk you find worth something you can sell. What do with all those seals after you are Lieutenant? buy craft mats and make them stuff to sell is what. Secret Poetics is only good for untradable crafting mats, glams and a couple minions. Take your time Alexander is not going anywhere he's only an arm and torso anyway.

Stop skipping content and then expecting to have access to the rewards of that content.

I'll talk about games and movies no matter how old they are. Guess that just makes me better than 90% of the people you are talking about though. :/

Nice job being entirely ignorant to the actual issue here. The nature of the games has changed since the expansion came out and it doesn't make sense for certain things to function exactly as they did before.

Well, yes play is work, but there is still a difference between playing a game and working a store. The point is that you feel like you are doing something interesting and worth the time investment, thereby enjoying your time with it. I think a lot of people have issues with unlocking roulettes and getting flight access in this regard.

One does not simply do the High Level Roulette without doing all the dungeons first. . .
One does not simply do the Heavensward hunts without being max rank with your GC. .
ONE DOES NOT SIMPLY WALK INTO MORDOR!

If you're a "new player" and you just rushed all the way to 60 and to the end of the story? Well, that's your problem and I can't fathom why you'd imagine this would be a good idea or why you think you'd be prepared for...pretty much anything.

Now say you get your law and you wanna upgrade it by doing hunts. Oh you thought you just go to the forgotten knight and start hunts? Nope. Gotta go grind your grand company rank and do their whole hunt quest chain. And since you're new you probably didn't save any of those pink dungeon items did you. Tough break, you gotta earn that ****. Dont be so lazy. Anywho Im off to get luck drops in alex that I "earned".

I'm curious... how did you get to 60 without doing dungeons? Fate much?

Kay, I'm gonna level with you all. I've been playing since closed beta 2.0 -- off-and-on for like almost 2 years. I've dabbled in all the classes and jobs available to me with varying degrees of success. Here character sheet. I've hit every side quest that I can pick up along the way, but most of my experience in this game has been a grindtastical grindfest ad nauseum topped with a grind cherry and a grind pudding on the side. And... I have, so far, only just cleared Garuda SM last night. Yay for me! :P

    Buuut....

I'm seeing some new players like the OP (who've been playing for what? a month?), and have already hit 60 and (presumably) gotten into Heavensward. It ... just ... idk ... makes me go, "like what the actual flying f*** through a window with broken glass??!" What are they doing that I'm not?

Moreover, there's this one guy in my LS that has -- and I kid you not -- leveled from fresh nothing to one 60, two 50s, a 50 crafter, and unlocked the 3 new jobs (proof of Heavensward) in only ... wait for it ... 2 weeks! What teh %(#*&^*$!!!1one!! <---BR4iN-5pl0sioN

I have nearly the patience of a god, but this is starting to wear me thin. These new players are making me feel noob.

Serious question: What's the secret to leveling?
