    spiritbonding new crafter/gatherer equip?

anyone figured out how to do it efficiently yet? I tried with ilvl 55 and 58 gear and killing some mobs at different lvls but it doesnt seem to increase my spiritbond. Are we supposed to craft/gather in order to increase it?
Dont get me wrong, it makes more sense having to use the equip for what its made for instead of killing mobs with it, but if i have to craft hundreds of items id rather go back to ilvl 45-50 and kill mobs in the old world.

it has already been made clear tier V materia for craft/gather is not obtainable aside from transmutation. for IV they oughtto be hoarded ..... Idid so before 3.0. But....... it's rough on someone who is not rich i suppose.... I am saving all gear to convert till they allow conversion to V ...... i55 was always like castrum, and beyond T4.

i knew about tier V but i thought i could SB some lvl 55 gear to get tier IV easier. I just wondered which mobs are needed to increase our SB with the new gear or if crafting/gathering is the only way to increase it now.

It's been a long while since SE changed up the spiritbonding (in combat) formula. So until they say otherwise, it's the same. You have to kill mobs within 10 item levels of the gear you want to spiritbond to get any measurable increase. I'd guess that level 55 and 58 stuff would only really bind in the research facility or Neverreap.

We need to get a semi reliable way to hit tier iv though, cause seeing i130 consistently break into grade II and III makes my heart cry.
Tier iV material is running dry, we need a way to get it.

Buy the level 55 crafting and gathering gear. Optionally, stick a Materia into it.

Gather a ton of something you can use to create a refined material. Mythrite Sand/Mythril Ore. Dark Chestnut Logs.

Once the gathering gear is fully Bound, convert and equip the crafting gear. Quick Synth your way to fully bound and Convert.

Only way I can see doing it with the new gear.

I'm pretty sure you can still SB the crafting gear in combat as long as your fighting the correct level of monsters, thus wearing Gathering / Crafting gear on a class like Summoner with a chocobo and killing level 55+ over world mobs should still be fairly effective. Disclaimer being I haven't tried this myself yet as My summoner is only 52.
